“It’s alright, Chloe.”

For the past six months, despite Kalis’s insulting words, Chloe had remained steadfast.

Nothing was different now. Just as she had done in the past, she simply needed to endure.

The departing figure had left behind a messy trail. With no time to clean up, Chloe quietly moved to her bed.

After lying down her sluggish body, she stared at the empty ceiling and thought.

“…Maybe it’s for the best.”

After all, everything had merely returned to square one. The worst they could do to her was low-grade harassment.

If there was anything regrettable, it was that she’d been discovered far sooner than expected.

But viewed another way, that also meant she’d dealt them a significant blow—so there was no reason to be entirely disheartened.

“I need to find another way to get a divorce.”

Either by the kingdom’s ruler, King Ballont, or by the High Priest, who oversaw religious matters.

The former had already failed. The latter offered no hope of success either.
