Inside were the candid thoughts of the author.

Themes suitable for the festival, activities that could go along, and the butterfly effect the event could cause.

“Ah! I hadn’t thought of that. Nice!”

Thanks to the well-organized report, even Helena, who disliked reading, was able to focus until the end.

“I need to put it back…”

Feeling what she needed, now that the outline was clear, Helena could also think creatively like the author.

“Should I leave it?”

But her work wouldn’t be as excellent as this report.

Helena looked at the paper she had clutched. Then, she eyed the place where it was.

She’d spent an hour reading, yet the owner hadn’t returned.

“Would anyone know if I used it?”

With this, she could ace her presentation tomorrow.

Growing impatient for the owner’s return, Helena rushed out of the library.

Back in her room, she read the report again under her flipped blanket. A notebook for tomorrow’s presentation was beside her.

After drafting a brief presentation plan, she began to plagiarize the report.

“All done!”

Whether it was the length of the report or the time it took to copy, she’d spent over an hour. The page count exceeded six.

Though it wasn’t entirely hers, it felt like her accomplishment. Helena repeatedly read the leftover content.

“Did I miss anything?”

It was time for Callis to return from the meeting.

Helena couldn’t wait to show off her abilities. She was excited about the tender touch her lover would offer after reading the report.

“Changed the title—”

Excited about the future, Helena reviewed the paper.

“Love the font—”

Influenced by the original author’s beautiful handwriting, her own had improved.

Initially, her writing looked like a child’s doodle, but now it was as refined as any noble’s.

“Filled in the blanks—”

The ending was nothing more than a conclusion and summary.

It had been annoying at first, but eventually, it brought relief.

Because the report she had was the original, there was no risk of being caught for plagiarizing.

“Finally done!”

After strict proofreading, Helena cheered, declaring it was the end.

She had now precisely learned what a sense of achievement and pride were.

“Did you have a good day, Helena?”

“Callis!”

Right then, Callis also returned from the meeting.

Excited Helena didn’t answer his proposal for dinner due to her hunger. She just gleefully handed him her work.

“Did you write this today?”

“Yes!”

“That’s remarkable in such a short time. Well done.”
At first glance, Callis was subtly astonished by the enormous amount of data. He had sent Helena to the library to do research, but he had not expected it to be so thorough.

He had thought she would come back with just one or two ideas at most, but she seemed to have taken it quite seriously.

“Read it!”

“Now?”

“Yes! I worked really hard on it.”

“You want praise quickly, huh? Alright, wait a moment.”

Callis chuckled, feeling overpowered by the arms wrapped around his waist. He set down the load he had been carrying on the ground and read the document Helena had handed him.

Though he was surprised by its length, he honestly had no expectations. He had thought it was lengthy because it was filled with verbose and repetitive language.

“…Helena.”

But contrary to his expectations, only the key points were written. The writing was also well-crafted, making it a smooth read.

Sitting in his seat and halfway through the document, Callis looked at Helena with an admiring face. Pride was in his eyes, and a faint smile hung at the corners of his lips.

“Amazing. How did you write something so impressive in such a short amount of time?”

“Actually, I’ve been writing for a while. I thought about it on my own while picking up some of the things you said, Callis!”

Helena awkwardly excused herself regarding the ‘short amount of time,’ which was a term just to emphasize praise. Considering that she wrote this much in less than half a day, it was impossible.

Upon hearing Helena’s words, Callis was even more astonished. He was touched that Helena remembered all the careless words he had thrown out during dinner time.

“I guess you couldn’t speak well because you were nervous during the last presentation.”

“Yes. So instead, I organized it into writing. Did I do well?”

“It’s good enough to submit right away. Impressive.”

“I’m relieved! I tried hard, hoping it might save some face for you, Callis. We should get married!”

“Helena! You’re my forever treasure!”

At Callis’s praise, Helena burst into radiant laughter.

She had heard that theft was unequivocally bad. That’s why Helena felt a slight prick in her heart, but she quickly buried it.

‘Right! It’s the fault of the person who couldn’t keep it!’

If she could marry him, then it didn’t matter what happened.

Male lead is a Love-Obsessed Merman

When he discovers she has gone, he risks everything to pursue her on land, enduring agonizing pain to transform his tail into human legs…

One-line summary: Male lead chases female lead. The male lead’s love is a bit sick, an invincible love brain.

Synopsis

During a voyage at sea, Jiang Yang accidentally captures a merman.

Servant: I heard that mermen are fierce and brutal.

Jiang Yang looks at the merman obediently rubbing her palm like a puppy: “You call this fierce and brutal?”

Servant: I heard that mermen have no human nature.

Jiang Yang looks at the merman with wet puppy eyes, obsessively calling her ‘A Yang’ like a childish infant: “You call this having no human nature?”

With great difficulty, she releases the merman back into the sea and returns to shore.

Who would have thought that in less than half a month, the merman, who should have been freely wandering in the South China Sea, would shed his scales, endure the pain of losing his tail, transform into human legs, and come ashore to find her?

He kneels at her feet, rubbing her palm, with merman tears rolling down: “A Yang, don’t abandon me.”
