The rustling sound was coming from inside the warehouse. Kyung Joon set his briefcase down haphazardly and quietly passed through the design room toward the warehouse.

“Ugh. This is killing me.”

From inside the warehouse, where fabric rolls stood stacked by the door, came a thud followed by groans.

“Just go back to how it was before. I’ll wrap you up in a whole roll of fabric like a straw mat.”

It was a really familiar voice. Just as Kyung Joon was trying to recall where he’d heard it before and peered slightly through the crack in the door—

“Kyaaaah!”

The person inside yanked the door open, shrieked, and fell backward, landing hard on their rear.

“What—what—what the hell!”

Kyung Joon, who nearly got his head smashed by the door, was just as startled. He froze for a moment, blinked his eyes several times, and finally came to his senses.

“Jo Seo Ha?”

“Why are you here at this hour, Secretary Ryu?”

Jo Seo Ha looked even more haggard than usual.

Her hair was haphazardly coiled up, her worn-out sneakers nowhere to be seen, replaced by threadbare slippers. The work gloves on her hands and the grime smeared all over her completed today’s look.

“What about you? Why are you here at this hour?”

“Can’t you see I’m working?”
