“I’m craving some refreshing steamed clams today. Come over with Seung Oh after work.”

It was already a gloomy afternoon, and Ji Soo scowled deeply upon receiving Ok Soon’s message.

Even if she generously conceded a hundred times over, it might be fine to rush over right after work, tie on an apron, and make steamed clams. The problem was Ji Soo couldn’t eat clams at all.

“What steamed clams?”

Jung Eun, who happened to pass by, caught Ji Soo’s quiet muttering and asked.

“Steamed clams?”

“Huh? Oh, yeah.”

Ji Soo flipped her phone face-down and flashed a bright smile.

“My mother-in-law. She’s asking me over, saying she’ll make delicious steamed clams today.”

“Wow, she’s really thoughtful.”

“I guess I was born lucky with my in-laws.”

“Yeah, I’m really jealous.”

The teammates who’d once ranted furiously about how Team Leader Yoon—very much alive—was being treated like a concubine acting as the legal wife had long ago been weeded out.

Everyone currently on the team either didn’t know Lee Seung Oh’s former wife was in a vegetative state or pretended not to know. Either way, it didn’t matter to Ji Soo.

Instead of cleaning other people’s houses, she now employed a cleaning lady to do it for her. She wrapped herself head to toe in luxury brands she’d once deliberately ignored, calling them nothing but hollow vanity.
