“Got a job?”
Out of sheer shock, Jae Wook dropped the plastic bag from his hand. Seo Ha wondered if “getting a job” really warranted that much surprise.
“Yes. I can’t keep relying on my landlord forever. I’ll calculate the meals I’ve had so far based on standard market prices, raw material costs, hourly wages, and opportunity cost—8,000 won per meal. I’ve already written down the number of meals, so you don’t need to worry.”
“What nonsense are you talking?”
Jae Wook snapped irritably and picked up the fallen plastic bag. Inside was vividly crimson pork.
“If the unit price doesn’t suit you, we can negotiate—”
“Forget it. If you needed money, you’d have just taken three years’ worth of rent.”
He tossed the pork into the sink and started chopping kimchi vigorously. Soon, the small kitchen filled with the spicy aroma of kimchi stew.
“You did well.”

“I said you did well!”
“Well, I did well then. Why are you yelling?”

Grumbling, Jae Wook slammed the pot of kimchi stew down on the table. Fresh cucumbers and carrots were also placed alongside ssamjang.
