“Mom.”

Seo Ha barely managed to steady her trembling legs and approached Hae Sun.

“How did you get here? Mom, what’s with your appearance? Are you hurt? Aren’t you hungry?”

Her hair was a mess, and her white patient gown was covered in dirt. There were even stains on her knees, as if she had fallen on her way.

“Seo Ha, look at this. I made it for you.”

Hae Sun held a handful of wilted rabbit’s foot clover in both hands and smiled brightly.

No, it wasn’t just a pile of rabbit’s foot clover; it was a gift for Seo Ha. A crown, bracelets, rings, and necklaces that seemed to be made from all the rabbit’s foot clover flowers in the park.

Seo Ha sat down on the grass. She put on the tiny crown and wrapped a bracelet around her wrist. She even put the wilted, limp ring on her finger.

“It’s so beautiful. Just like a princess, Mom’s baby.”

Hae Sun smiled broadly and gently touched Seo Ha’s cheek. A burst of tears soaked Hae Sun’s palm and fell drop by drop down her wrist.

“I missed you, Mom. Really.”

“Oh my, look at the time already.”

Hae Sun looked around in surprise. It had been a long time since the sun had set, but she seemed to have just realized that it was dark around them.

“Let’s go quickly. Mom will make you a delicious dinner.”

Seo Ha tightly held Hae Sun’s hand and walked out of the flower bed. From a distance, Kyung Joon, who had been looking around, noticed the two and ran towards them.

“President Kang!”

The streetlight’s glow illuminated Kyung Joon’s face as he approached them.

“Are you alright? I’m really relieved that you’re safe.”

His expression was genuinely relieved. The traces of his worry, in case something had happened, were clearly visible.

Why? Why would you, who are a spy, worry about our mom and protect the company and my designs?

“Who are you? I’ve never seen you before.”

“… I’m Ryu Kyung Joon, ma’am. I recently joined the secretarial office.”

Yet, Mom couldn’t even remember you.

Seo Ha held Hae Sun’s hand even tighter. Only then did Kyung Joon’s gaze scan Seo Ha up and down.

“What is that?”

Seo Ha knew that her current appearance must be quite amusing. Dirty clothes, disheveled hair, a tiny crown, a ragged flower bracelet, and wilted, limp flower rings.

Seo Ha smiled brightly in that state.

“My mom made them for me.”

Kyung Joon looked back and forth between Seo Ha and Hae Sun with an inexplicable expression, then reached out to touch Seo Ha’s crown. The already small crown looked even smaller in his unusually large hand.

“She said she made these every day for Yoon Seo Ha.”

“She must have known I was Seo Ha too. We share the same name.”

“But why does your face look like that?”

Her tearstreaked face was a mess since Hae Sun had touched it with her dirtstained hands. But that didn’t matter at all. Seo Ha casually wiped her face with the back of her hand.

“It’s okay. Now that we’ve found President Kang, we can…”

She was about to say, “Call the hospital,” but her mouth suddenly clamped shut.

Lee Seung Oh, Lee Ji Soo.

If Hae Sun disappeared, all the assets would be inherited by Yoon Seo Ha, who was in a vegetative state, and naturally become Lee Seung Oh’s.

Was there any guarantee that Lee Seung Oh, who had tried to murder someone for their home and company, wouldn’t covet those assets?

Kyung Joon took out his phone. Seo Ha, who had been standing there blankly, snatched the phone away just as he was about to press the call button.

“No!”

“What are you doing?”

Kyung Joon’s brows furrowed. Seo Ha wondered for a moment if she could really trust this man. Then she concluded that, whether she trusted him or not, Ryu Kyung Joon was her only option right now.

“When President Kang first disappeared, what did the phone call say? How did she disappear?”

“Lee Ji Soo took her for a walk.”

Kyung Joon seemed to sense that something was off as he spoke up to that point. Seo Ha adjusted her grip on Hae Sun’s hand and spoke earnestly.

“If something happens to the president, all the remaining assets and shares go to Yoon Seo Ha. But Yoon Seo Ha is currently in a vegetative state, and her husband is Lee Seung Oh. Lee Ji Soo is Lee Seung Oh’s lover.”

“…”

“Let’s say today’s incident was an accident. But is there any guarantee that there won’t be another accident like this? Why did they contact the director only after a long time had passed since the president disappeared? If someone went missing while they were in the restroom, they should have known within, at most, twenty minutes.”

Seo Ha returned the phone to Kyung Joon. After looking at the screen that had turned off for a moment, Kyung Joon put the phone back into his pocket.

“We can increase the security personnel and dedicated caregivers at the hospital.”

“But Lee Seung Oh could also discharge her and take her home. Then she’d be completely in a blind spot.”

Even Ok Soon, who had served the family all her life, turned out to be the same kind of person as Lee Seung Oh. The house that Ok Soon had taken over was no longer a palace for Seo Ha and her mother.

“You may be right.”

My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband

This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.

The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.

They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.

In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.

When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.

She makes his life a living hell.

And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.

Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!

Intro

Dong Xia lost her memory.

Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”

Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.

…

The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.

She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.

Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.

No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!

Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂

*

Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.

The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.

In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.

The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.

And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.

Notes:

1. The female lead is white on the outside, black on the inside, and the queen of flattery; the male lead repeatedly tests the edge of darkness, a VIP guest at the crematorium.

2. Fantasy cultivation world setting.
