“What kind of flowers will this tree bloom?”

As Serena strolled leisurely through the garden and murmured to herself, Beka quickly bowed her head and answered.

“In spring, it blooms with pink cherry blossoms—they’re incredibly beautiful. His Imperial Highness the Crown Prince ordered it transplanted here before the wedding.”

“Really?”

Though she’d never seen such a tree in Astel, hearing this made her look forward to spring.

“Yes. Originally, His Imperial Highness planted two saplings side by side during his childhood and enjoyed them together. When renovating the Crown Princess’s quarters, he sent one as a gift.”

When Sia added this explanation, Serena, feeling inexplicably shy, averted her gaze and walked along the garden path.

The two new young maids, having received thorough training in the palace, blended naturally into Serena’s daily routine.

“The wind is getting sharp. Let’s head back inside for today.”

At Anna’s words, the young maids nodded in agreement. Lily, brought from the ducal residence, already seemed close to the other two, and seeing them all dressed alike was quite endearing.

“Yes, it’s time for a snack.”

Though usually strict about etiquette, the girls always became excited at the mention of snack time, which delighted Serena.

Serena rarely indulged in sweets or snacks herself, but in the palace, tea time occurred several times a day with exquisite treats served—leaving the rest for the young maids to enjoy.
