“Yes. If we’re lucky… we might even be hired as maids.”

“By the way, what exactly did the notice say?”

“First, we must place Her Imperial Highness the Crown Princess’s dresses, hats, shoes, and gloves into labeled boxes, gather them into luggage bags, and load everything onto the carriage. The head maid will give further instructions.”

“Goodness… nobles really are different. Then I suppose I’ll be completely useless.”

“Don’t worry. They’re also hiring maids just to carry the luggage bags.”

“The stew today… was truly delicious.”

Caught off guard by the unexpected praise, Jane’s cheeks flushed even more.

“Oh, it’s nothing—there weren’t even many ingredients; I just simmered it thoroughly.”
