Serena immediately opened the window wide upon waking, looking at the clouds hanging over the distant mountains, as was her habit.

“The weather is nice again today.”

Leaving the stuffy capital and coming down to the Astel Duke’s estate had been an excellent choice. She could escape the social attention directed at her now that she had just become the Crown Princess, and above all, she could live a fulfilling life.

“…Almost six years now.”

Almost six years had passed since the cold engagement ceremony. All that remained was the memory of a fierceeyed little boy, but the time had come to meet him soon.

“Still, an annulment would be easier than a divorce.”

Over the past six years, Serena had roamed the estate more freely than anyone, meeting many people and doing as she pleased.

Rumors circulated in the Empire’s social circles that Serena, having missed her marriageable age, had given up on herself, but she already knew well that others’ words were unimportant.

“But it’s so unfair to hear that the Crown Prince doesn’t return to the Empire because he doesn’t want to marry me!”

Serena clenched her fist in anger.

Both of them disliked each other, so why did no one ask Serena’s opinion and only pity the Crown Prince? It was equally forced engagement on both sides.

“Well… that too will end soon enough.”

Serena, who had been engaged to the Crown Prince at eighteen, was now twentyfour. By the standards of the aristocracy of the time, she had missed her marriageable age and was considered hopeless.

However, this also meant that Serena’s plan was progressing smoothly. If the Crown Prince showed so little interest in his fiancée, annulment would be very easy.

“Oh my, you’re already awake?”

Anna entered the bedroom in the same unchanging manner, smiling at Serena.

“You’ve always been diligent, but lately, you’ve been waking up particularly early. Aren’t you tired?”

“There’s a lot to do. Sometimes, before going to sleep, I even wish the morning would come sooner.”

Anna shook her head as if she were tired and put down the washbasin. Serena quickly washed her face and roughly dried it with a towel.

“You’re full of energy today too, Miss!”

Since arriving at the Duke’s estate, Serena had become lively and cheerful, almost like a different person.

And instead of spending time on elegant dressing and braiding her hair, she began to actively manage the estate with greater interest in more tasks.

“Is that so?”

“Yes, it’s wonderful to see.”

Serena, having brushed her teeth alone, changed into simple activewear. Since arriving at the estate, her shining dresses had all been shoved into the wardrobe, and it was only with difficulty that she had been dissuaded from wearing trousers.

“Wait, let me tie your hair for you.”

“I can do it myself.”

“Don’t take away my least duty.”

At Anna’s stubborn words, Serena pouted but quietly allowed her hair to be taken care of. Although she said it was enough to tie it into one for ease of movement, Anna always put in a pretty pin, fulfilling her duty.

“Where’s Peter?”

“He’ll be here soon.”

Life at the Astel Duke’s estate was always similar. Serena woke up early without regard to holidays and started her day with a report from the steward.

“Your Grace, good morning.”

As usual, Steward Peter came and paid simple respects to Serena. Unlike Anna, he used a slightly more formal title.

“You’re on time today. Any new news?”

Her blue eyes sparkled with curiosity. Her face was innocent and clear like a child, but at the same time, it held an intelligence surpassing any lord.

“Is the report on the harvest of Astel berries ready yet?”

“The harvest is over, and the report is being prepared…”

“Everyone will be busy making jam, so send some idle maids from the mansion to help.”

Serena, her shimmering platinum blonde hair tied up high and adorned with a cute pin, was radiant, even in a plain dress without any elaborate decoration.

“You gave the order last year, so we’ve already sent them.”

“Well done. I’ll leave you in charge of the cellar inspection this year. We can’t ruin the great satisfaction of a rare harvest.”
Smiling cheerfully, Serena looked more beautiful than when she was overly adorned according to the empire’s standards. Her natural beauty was enough to make anyone on the street turn their heads.

At twentyfour, she was well past the marriageable age in the empire, treated as a widow, but her attitude proved once again that others’ words were of no use.

“Astel berries have been around for four years now.”

Anna spoke as if it were suddenly intriguing.

“They continue to be wildly popular in the capital, right?”

Six years ago, when Serena impulsively came down to the duke’s estate, she ignored the steward’s suggestion to renovate the mansion and embarked on a tour of the estate.

With its large mountain ranges and long river, the peaceful tranquility of the Astel estate, flowing calmly, was shattered with Serena’s arrival.

[Dash] What’s this?

Serena traversed the estate, incessantly questioning everything.

[Dash] Where does the estate end?

My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband

This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.

The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.

They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.

In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.

When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.

She makes his life a living hell.

And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.

Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!

Intro

Dong Xia lost her memory.

Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”

Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.

…

The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.

She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.

Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.

No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!

Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂

*

Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.

The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.

In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.

The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.

And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.

Notes:

1. The female lead is white on the outside, black on the inside, and the queen of flattery; the male lead repeatedly tests the edge of darkness, a VIP guest at the crematorium.

2. Fantasy cultivation world setting.
