Seo Yeon kept chuckling like a fool at Kwon Yool’s devoted care.

Both her body and mind felt so comfortable that she even had the absurd thought of wanting to quit her headache-inducing job to spend every day like this with Kwon Yool.

Kwon Yool quickly read through a thin book and glanced at Seo Yeon.

“…Seo Yeon.”

His long finger swept her forehead hair aside.

“Do you know, Yool?”

“What?”

“I’m really enjoying my time with you.”

At her words, his eyes softened.

“It’s rewarding to take care of you.”

His warm gaze moved to her lips.

“Will you do me one favor, Seo Yeon?”

“A favor? What is it?”

“Could I drive you to and from work until your stitches are removed?”

At his sudden question, Seo Yeon’s head tilted.

“Drive me? Ah, it’s fine. You’re busy, Yool.”

The moment she expressed her refusal, his broad shoulders slightly slumped.

Before she could explain why there’s no need for disappointment, he spoke first.

“I’d like to stay by your side until you’re fully recovered.”

Seo Yeon stared at his lips that spilled out earnest words.

“But I can’t inconvenience a sick Seo Yeon. So instead, I want to do something else for you.”

He smoothly interlocked their fingers, implying that he wanted to do so for the next two weeks.

Lost in thought, Seo Yeon stared at his face.

‘If I can’t drive and my dad takes me in the morning, what if Yool picks me up at night?’

She thought it wouldn’t be bad to meet face-to-face since they were going to talk on the phone before sleeping anyway.

“Wouldn’t it be troublesome for you, Yool?”

“Not at all!”

He seemed absolutely certain.

“Well, thank you, then. I can’t go out for dates anyway, so it’s good to see you even briefly.”

At the word ‘date,’ Kwon Yool hurriedly clarified.

“Just because we met today doesn’t mean our planned dates are cancelled, okay? This is nursing, not dating.”

He emphatically reiterated that driving her served a purely functional purpose, separate from their remaining date count.

Seo Yeon didn’t argue with his logically sound point.

“Then, starting tomorrow, I’ll count on you. But we don’t know when it will end, is that okay?”

“Don’t worry about that, I’ll be doing my job. Just notify me an hour before you finish, and I’ll go straight to your office.”

Seo Yeon readily accepted his sweet offer.

“Once the stitches are removed and the wounds are healed, let’s resume our dates.”

“Agreed.”

Seo Yeon, who had been feeling guilty for constantly postponing dates, felt relieved.

The brilliant afternoon sun filled half of the living room, and the two smiled brightly, content with their agreement.

“Is today the last day? Time flew by faster than I thought.”

While checking the schedule sent by Secretary Choi, Seo Yeon realized that today was her last day commuting with Kwon Yool.

How quickly two weeks had passed.
Seo Yeon had already had her stitches removed, although she hadn’t undergone the disinfection process more than a few times every two days.

Except for the first treatment with Min Hyuk, she had been going with her parents, and Kwon Yool took care of picking her up every day after work.

Spending time with Kwon Yool every night, Seo Yeon had become quite comfortable around him.

He loved books more than she had thought, and his knowledge was incredibly extensive.

That’s probably why conversations with him were always interesting.

“The more you know, the more charming he gets.”

Seo Yeon mumbled this quietly as she thought about him.

She then remembered the little things about him—his facial expressions when he was excited, his sometimes adorable way of speaking, and even the slight changes in his behavior when he wanted to kiss her.

He would rest his forehead on Seo Yeon’s shoulder like a big puppy, or keep glancing at her lips as if subtly signaling something.

“So cute. I could go crazy because he’s so cute.”

Seo Yeon directly looked at his pictures on her phone.

She should not have poured out such intense emotions while at the office, but she couldn’t help repeatedly zooming into his picture while saying ‘cute.’

Knock-knock.

“Yes, come in.”

Seo Yeon quickly hid the picture of a beaming Kwon Yool on her phone and changed her expression.

“I have assigned the interns the homework as instructed by Director.”

Secretary Choi, always prim and proper, spoke.

“Ah, good. Can I see their resumes again?”

As Seo Yeon switched back to Director mode, Secretary Choi promptly laid down a tablet containing information on the interns.

Their records were surprisingly outstanding despite being interns.

Seo Yeon’s mouth corners lifted every time she swiped through the screen.

“Ah, this person, a student from Korea University.”

Seo Yeon pointed at a picture, and Secretary Choi quickly ran through the intern’s resume.

“The name is Park Si Ah, a senior at Korea University in the first semester. Majoring in Art History.”

“Exactly! Despite not being a specialist, Park Si Ah had a really decent portfolio.”

Secretary Choi elaborated following Seo Yeon’s positive evaluation.

“She was said to understand ten things when taught one during practical training.”

Seo Yeon nodded her head in satisfaction.

“Did she quit job hunting at school and come here?”

Seo Yeon counted the university students among the interns as she scrolled through the screen.

“Inform any interns who have exams or graduation assignments to complete in advance. We should accommodate them.”

Seo Yeon wished that the first steps these interns took in society were positive.

In that regard, she thought of giving them difficult homework and then treating them to a nice dinner.

“Everyone will be anxious because of the homework. Please buy them some expensive beef and take them out to Devels for a refreshing company dinner.”

Secretary Choi promptly left the office after confirming Seo Yeon’s orders.

After Secretary Choi left, Seo Yeon immersed herself in designing the new fall products.

Seo Yeon kept drawing and erasing as the designs weren’t coming along well, staying up late into the night.

“Sigh. This isn’t working. I should go have fun with Yool.”

At 10 p.m., Seo Yeon called Kwon Yool earlier than usual.

She then leisurely tidied up her desk and exited the office.

After greeting the security guard and just as she was about to step out, she saw Kwon Yool talking with someone in the distance.

“Uh… who is that person?”
