Even though Ho Jin tried to probe with various questions, Seo Yeon only sipped water with a troubled face.

The event preparations were going more smoothly than she had thought.
A smile finally crossed Seo Yeon’s face when she confirmed that the things she had painstakingly prepared were being executed on-site.
“I wish the DJ booth could be a bit more glamorous.”
At Seo Yeon’s words, Director Kim and Secretary Choi nodded.
“And please make an additional gift distribution booth on each side so it won’t be crowded upon entry.”
“Yes, Director.”
Seo Yeon treated the staff and workers to some hearty snacks before heading back to the office.
Although she had been busy for the past few days, she didn’t have any backlog, but she was engrossed in her work out of habit.
Time passed the fastest when she was working, after all.
It was already 1 a.m. when she had even completed tasks that weren’t urgent.
“Today is the day…”
A soft smile spread across her face at the thought of meeting Kwon Yool in the early evening, as midnight had already passed.
Just that fact alone seemed to lift the heavy stone that had been pressing on her heart.
However, she couldn’t be complacent until she met Kwon Yool. Seo Yeon strived to keep her thoughts from wandering off.
But her mood was beyond imagination from the morning.
Her elated mood was evident on her face since she opened her eyes in the morning.
“Did something good happen?”
Secretary Choi, who brought in iced Americano, asked.
“Yes. I’m meeting my boyfriend today.”
Secretary Choi flinched at Seo Yeon’s sudden mention of a boyfriend, since she usually kept mum about her personal life.
“So, I’m thinking of leaving work a bit early today. Please prepare the approvals and reports in advance.”
Seo Yeon couldn’t help but laugh softly as she said that she would leave work early.
Secretary Choi’s eyes widened momentarily and then he started moving even more busily than usual.
Seo Yeon blissfully watched the long rays of sunlight streaming into the office, like a cat on a spring day.
The shrinking sunbeam indicated she would meet him soon.
Impatient at the slow passage of time, Seo Yeon felt like she was about to run out of breath.
“Ah! The test is over.”
Seo Yeon jumped up from her seat, having looked at the clock until it was almost worn out.
Her patience had long since run out, and she blatantly stared at her still-silent phone.
Exactly 15 minutes after the test ended, Kwon Yool’s name appeared on the dark screen.
She pressed the call button at the speed of light and heard the breathless voice she had been longing for.
