As she clung to him and resisted, it felt like she was wasting precious time.

Seo Yeon, who had finally exhausted her patience, stepped forward.

“Mr. Yul, please stop.”
As Seo Yeon hurriedly pulled Kwon Yool’s arm, he whispered, “I’m really sorry for letting you see me like this.”

“No, it’s not your fault, Mr. Yul. Well, let’s not dwell on it.”

It was a situation that could easily lead to irritation, but affectionate words were exchanged between the two.

However, the woman who had been observing them couldn’t contain her emotions and started tapping her foot in place.

“Yul, no! Don’t go. Hey, you, yes, you.”

“You…?”

Seo Yeon pointed at herself, thinking she might have misheard.

“Me?”

“Yes, you! I’m Jin Bo Ra, majoring in Consumer Studies, class of XX. What’s your major and year?”

Seo Yeon chuckled softly.
In this absurd situation, she couldn’t seriously get angry.

“Don’t tell me.”

Seo Yeon said with a sly smile.

“What!”

Bo Ra, who was getting more agitated, exclaimed.

“Is this for real? You want to try it with me?”

Bo Ra was ready to pounce at any moment.

“Jin Bo Ra, be careful with your words! She’s not someone you can casually address.”

Kwon Yool, feeling helpless, stood between them.

Seo Yeon then lightly tapped his arm to signal that it was okay.

“I’m Jin Bo Ra from the Consumer Studies Department. If I may give you one piece of advice…”

“Who do you think you are, talking to me like that?”

“It’s not good to beg like this. The world isn’t that easy.”
“It’s noisy. Get away from Yool right now.”

Seo Yeon didn’t bat an eye at any of Bo Ra’s attacks. She found Bo Ra’s immature behavior and her own response to it amusing, which made her chuckle.

“If I step away, can you date him?”

“Well, um…”

Bo Ra hesitated, unsure of herself.

Then Seo Yeon raised one corner of her mouth.

“Let’s talk about it again when you gain some confidence. We’re a bit busy right now.”

If Bo Ra continued to act rudely here, Seo Yeon wouldn’t stay silent.
However, before Seo Yeon could step forward, a gentleman appeared, pushing through the crowd.

“Oh, why are people gathering here like this… Huh!”

Won Joon’s bewildered eyes quickly scanned the situation among the three.

As Seo Yeon met Won Joon’s widened eyes, she shook her head slightly.

“Ah… this is…”

Won Joon sighed deeply.

“I heard you were coming to see Yool. This is quite… embarrassing for me.”

Seo Yeon reassured him with a gesture.

“Let’s meet formally next time. We’re short on time right now, sorry.”

In response to Seo Yeon’s words, Won Joon nodded and smiled graciously.

“Please go ahead. I’ll handle this troublesome Bo Ra.”
“Won Joon, I’m sorry. Then, we’ll go ahead.”

Kwon Yool glanced at his watch and tightly held Seo Yeon’s hand before leading the way.

Soon, Bo Ra’s angry cries were heard, but Won Joon seemed to have taken some action as the furious voice abruptly ceased.

The two of them walked slowly, moving away from the library to a distant bench.

“Seo Yeon, please have a seat here.”

Kwon Yool laid out a handkerchief on the bench as he spoke.

Seo Yeon, appreciating his kindness, smiled gently and sat down on the handkerchief.

“I’m sorry. We’ve been friends since we were young. I don’t understand why she’s acting like this.”

Kwon Yool explained Bo Ra’s presence in detail.
“I’m fine. But it seems like our friend Bo Ra likes you, Mr. Yool.”

The surprised, dark eyes said hesitantly, “I’ve never thought of her as a girl before.”

“Why? She’s cute and pretty.”

Seo Yeon didn’t consider Bo Ra as a rival. There was neither value nor reason to do so.

But it wasn’t the right time to have their own conversation, and she didn’t want to spend time talking about Bo Ra.

“So far, you’re the only person I’ve ever liked, Seo Yeon.”

“Really? Am I the only one?”

Seo Yeon playfully teased Kwon Yool despite his sincere words.
“Everything I have belongs to you, Seo Yeon. From the beginning until now, and of course, in the future.”

Kwon Yool whispered softly as he gently caressed the back of Seo Yeon’s hand.

His sweet words quickly dispelled any lingering discomfort she had felt.

“I… I like you the most in my entire life.”

Of course, that was true.

Ranking emotions over the years seemed silly, but Kwon Yool had been the only one to shake her emotions to the point where she couldn’t control them.

Kwon Yool smiled brightly as he placed Seo Yeon’s hand over his heart.

Feeling the solid beat of his heart beneath her palm, Seo Yeon felt comforted.
“The time has already passed… Shall we have lunch?”

Time seemed to flow differently when she was with Kwon Yool, and they had gone well past the expected time.

Seo Yeon quickly took out a lunchbox for him, as they needed to return to the library.

They fed each other the different items in the square container, along with some snacks.

Then, they finally had the sweet conversation they had both been yearning for.

“I should have made this a better day for you. I’m sorry for making things difficult.”

“Yool, I’m really okay.”

He embraced Seo Yeon tightly, his regret seeping through every word.
An hour had passed so swiftly that it felt like they had only sat down to eat, but it was already time to part ways.

Kwon Yool glanced around, then gently touched Seo Yeon’s cheek and kissed her.

“I’ll make the most of the time we have left. Just trust me a little longer.”

“I know you’ll do great, but don’t push yourself too hard.”

Seo Yeon’s lips, faintly scented with peach, lightly met his.

In response, Kwon Yool, as sturdy as a tree, enveloped her tightly.

“Heh. I just want to take you to the library like this.”

Seo Yeon appreciated his candid expression.

“What are you going to do once you’ve taken me there?”
As Seo Yeon peeked out from his embrace, she whispered a question.

“For now, let me sit on your lap and study like this, with you holding me tightly.”

In her heart, Seo Yeon wanted to shout, “Me too,” but she decided to endure for a few more days.

“Sigh. It’s a shame, but… Can we at least stand up together on good terms? Holding hands.”

Seo Yeon, who had hugged Kwon Yool tightly, was the first to stand up.

“I’ll take you. Let’s go to the parking lot together.”

The once bright sun had disappeared, leaving a deep gray hue in the sky.

The damp breeze brushed past them, but there was no space between them.

They were already walking side by side, touching each other perfectly.
The parking lot emptied as the cars drove away.

Kwon Yool opened the driver’s seat door and said, “Drive carefully. Let me know when you arrive.”

“Yool-ssi.”

At Seo Yeon’s call, Kwon Yool naturally embraced her.

Now, like a habit, she buried her nose into his firm chest, feeling him, and softly murmured, “I have something prepared.”

As Kwon Yool’s arm slid down, Seo Yeon twisted her body and handed him a large shopping bag.

“What’s this?”

“Proof. Proof of my feelings for you, Yool-ssi.”

His dark eyes widened as if pouring out emotions.

Male lead Asks for a Divorce Every Day

It’s not often you come across a plot like this in the female-dominant genre — make sure to check it out!

This is a novel I’m planning to reread as well.

The male lead is strong, skilled in martial arts, and not the usual fragile type you often see in matriarchal novels.

Meanwhile, the female lead is a scientist—rational and logical. Even when she falls for the male lead, she doesn’t let her emotions cloud her decisions.

If you push through the first few chapters, you’ll gradually find the story really intriguing.

It has a mix of mystery, detective elements, and romance.

The author’s writing style is like crafting a puzzle—except they deliberately leave out a few pieces, making it hard to predict what happens next, yet keeping you hooked.

In the end, everything will come together and be explained.

One-sentence summary: Wife, stop playing with beakers and look at me!

In a laboratory accident, research scientist Zhu Wansheng accidentally travels to a matriarchal world. The original owner of the body is an eighteen-year-old only daughter of a wealthy rouge merchant, already married with a handsome young man.

Zhu Wansheng grins: Nice! She always said she was heaven’s favorite granddaughter. After a life of toil in her previous life, she can enjoy blessings in this one.

However, her joy lasts no more than three seconds as bad news arrives: the original owner’s family is about to go bankrupt, and her husband wants a divorce.

Even worse, she’s stuck with a research system full of restrictions.

Zhu Wansheng: ? Is this the destiny of a research dog?

——

Faced with this mess, Zhu Wansheng pours herself a bowl of wine to drown her sorrows. In her drunken haze, her husband arrives.

His figure is imposing, holding a long sword, with a dignified air that captivates Zhu Wansheng.

Gu Yingqing, however, looks at the alcohol-reeking Zhu Wansheng with undisguised disgust and coldly asks, “Divorce or not?” The intoxicated Zhu Wansheng mumbles vaguely, “I think… it’s not… it’s not… impossible!”

——

The next day, after sobering up, Zhu Wansheng is full of energy, rolling up her sleeves ready to make a big move. As for yesterday? She has no memory of it.

Zhu Wansheng is ambitious; a research dog fears nothing!

Upgrading rouge, extracting fragrances, producing perfumes, researching lipsticks… all shall bow to the power of modern technology!

The original owner’s dying rouge shop is revitalized. Her mother is pleased and with a wave of her hand, passes on the family business to her. As she takes control and her experimental results gain popularity, it’s the pinnacle of her life…

——

But there are always those who can’t stand to see her doing well. Jealousy, scheming, assassination attempts – they want nothing less than her life.

The person who has always kept his distance from her suddenly holds her tightly in his arms, eyes full of concern.

She is unharmed, but he falls into a pool of blood…

Zhu Wansheng feels guilty, “I can grant you one wish.”

Gu Yingqing tentatively circles his arms around her, carefully resting his head in the crook of her neck, pleading softly, “I regret it. Can we not divorce?”

Zhu Wansheng: ? When did I agree to a divorce?

[Small Theater]

The newly developed rouge is beautifully packaged, and Zhu Wansheng is eager to try it.

Gu Yingqing suddenly appears: “My lady, may I apply it for you?”

Cool fingertips lightly brush her lips. His Adam’s apple bobs as he leans in for a light bite.

Zhu Wansheng: ?

Gu Yingqing: It smells so good, I wanted to taste it…

On a warm spring day, Zhu Wansheng tries a new perfume: “Spring Night.” Gu Yingqing corners her against a wall.

Warm breath lingers on her neck.

“My lady, from now on, may I test the fragrances for you?”
