The President’s sister-in-law, so the Vice Chairwoman of DN Group?

Only now did Seo Yeon bow her head and greet them respectfully.

“Nice to meet you. I am Hani Black…”

“CEO Han Seo Yeon, correct?”

At Yoon Sun’s words, Seo Yeon was visibly surprised.

The Vice Chairwoman of DN Group knows me this well?

Today seemed like a special day.

“Yes, that’s correct. Madam.”

“What do you mean, ‘Madam.'”

Yoon Sun spoke warmly as if she were to say just call me ‘sister.’

Then, Min Hyuk stepped between them, standing firmly.

But he couldn’t stop Yoon Sun.

Yoon Sun, who effortlessly pushed aside the towering Min Hyuk, said,

“I’m such a fan of Hani Black. I frequently buy your comfy half-binding pants.”

A wealthy matron…wearing Hani Black’s half-binding pants?

Astonished, Seo Yeon’s mouth gaped open.

“I also watch your home shopping broadcasts. How about we have a tea time sometime?”

“Um, Sister-in-law, it could be uncomfortable for CEO Han if you keep doing this.”

Min Hyuk actively tried to intervene.

“It’s not that. I’m just a fan of CEO Han.”

Though she was his former teacher, Min Hyuk was somewhat flustered by Yoon Sun.

“So what brings you here?”

Hastily, Min Hyuk changed the subject, trying to separate Seo Yeon and Yoon Sun.

“Ah. I’m here for a regular meeting of moms from Won Jun’s high school days.”

“Those mother meetings are important. They’re waiting for you; you should go.”

Ignoring the sharply dressed Min Hyuk, Yoon Sun stared intently at Seo Yeon.

“CEO Han, when would be a good time for tea?”

She seemed insistent on getting permission before leaving.

Hearing that the elegant madam was a fan, Seo Yeon had been spellbound.

Only the words ‘fan’ and ‘tea time’ revolved in a dizzying fashion inside Seo Yeon’s head.

“Yes. Sounds good, Madam.”

Unaware, Seo Yeon readily expressed her agreement.

“Ah, stop with the ‘Madam.'”

Yoon Sun observed Seo Yeon with a meaningful smile.

“So what should I call you?”

“Call me whatever you’re comfortable with. My name or as the Director of the Cultural Foundation.”

Yoon Sun’s straightforwardness left no room for words.

“Yes, Director. I’ll be looking forward to it.”

“I’ll have my secretary contact your company.”

Seo Yeon bowed her head to Yoon Sun’s overflowing charisma.

Unable to bear it, Min Hyuk immediately stepped in.

“CEO Han, you really don’t have to do this.”

Yoon Sun gestured for her younger brother Min Hyuk to stay quiet.

“It was really nice to meet you. Let’s meet again soon.”

“Yes. It was an honor to meet you.”

Seo Yeon bowed respectfully once again.

“I have some companions. I should be going.”

With a light wave, Yoon Sun turned around without hesitation.

And then she slowly walked towards where her companions were.

“For now, let’s leave.”

Awakened by Min Hyuk’s urgent prompting, Seo Yeon followed him.

In the place where the two disappeared,

Middle-aged women elegantly dressed stared overtly at Min Hyuk and Seo Yeon’s retreating figures and asked,

“Who is she?”

“Younger brother’s girlfriend?”

Yoon Sun chuckled.

“Let’s wait and see. Whether she becomes the youngest daughter-in-law.”

They all lent an ear to Yoon Sun’s words, filled with curiosity.

“Which family is she from?”

“She does look stylish.”

“She seems somewhat familiar.”

Everyone seemed curious about Seo Yeon.

“It will probably be in the newspapers if it turns out well. We don’t know yet.”

Even though Yoon Sun’s answer was uncertain, everyone had something to say.

Amidst all the excessive interest, there was someone who held their tongue.

“Yool’s mother.”

“Yes, sister.”

Satisfied, Yoon Sun looked at the calm Yeon Hee.

“You didn’t bring your car?”

“No. Thought I might have some wine.”

“I’ll drop you off. Let’s take our car.”

“It could be inconvenient.”

Yeon Hee extended her hand as if it was fine.

“I’m not driving. The chauffeur is. Let’s go quickly.”

Yoon Sun really liked Yeon Hee, who didn’t speak ill of others.
People often approached Yeon Hee to an uncomfortable degree whenever she attended mothers’ gatherings.

She had been made uncomfortable more than once due to people spreading words about her to boast about their closeness.

However, Yoon Sun, Won Joon’s mother, had always been a constant presence in Yeon Hee’s life despite the significant age gap between them.

“Let’s call it a day here.”

At Yoon Sun’s words, everyone dispersed in twos and threes.

Then Yoon Sun disappeared first, taking the shy Yeon Hee by the arm.

Because she intended to lift the unusually somber mood Yeon Hee had that day.

In a cafe with a nice atmosphere overlooking the Han River, Yoon Sun took Yeon Hee there, not to her home.

Yeon Hee, who was just staring blankly out of the window with a warm chamomile tea between them, had a face full of concern.

Being naturally introverted, it took a long time for Yeon Hee to speak up.

“Why is that? Yool’s mom. What’s wrong?”

Yoon Sun asked, wondering if it was because Kwon Yool’s exam was drawing near.

“I… Ah, no, it’s not.”

Yeon Hee only managed to half-open her mouth.

When male lead is the homewrecker

“I know she doesn’t love him.”

I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!

The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.

Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.

The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.

I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.

There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.

For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.

I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.

Here’s the story synopsis:

One-line summary: She is his lifelong obsession, to the point where he was willing to be a third wheel, scorned by society, just to wedge his way into her relationship with her fiancé.

Cold-hearted and indifferent female lead + Scheming and subservient CEO male lead

Intro 1:

“I know she doesn’t love him.”

With blood trickling from his clenched fist, Rong Xiu gazed at the woman before him, his eyes clouded with anguish. Hidden in the wardrobe, he had witnessed Fan Xia – the woman he desperately loved – in an intimate embrace with her fiancé. Yet his heart still yearned for her, defying all reason.

Fan Xia, the elegant and composed assistant, carried something mysterious in her eyes whenever she looked at her fiancé, Wen Lan Sheng. Strange occurrences began to surface – secret meetings with the young Gu Jin Yi, an unexplained withdrawal of 5,000 yuan… Then suddenly, her fiancé’s sister, Wen Jing, violently attacked her.

In this matriarchal society, Rong Xiu had risen to become the chairman of a powerful healthcare conglomerate, breaking through gender prejudices. But for the first time, he willingly stepped into the shadows as the other man, disregarding his friends’ warnings to become her secret lover.

Because he had discovered the truth – Fan Xia wasn’t the pure angel everyone believed her to be. And perhaps, he was the only one capable of helping her execute her mysterious plan…

Intro 2:

Rong Xiu’s biggest regret in life was missing out on Fan Xia.

He secretly loved Fan Xia for 7 years.

Watched her go public with her boyfriend.

Watched her kiss her boyfriend at their wedding.

Until that man blissfully nestled in Fan Xia’s arms, obtaining everything he could only dream of.

The crazy jealousy stripped away his hidden secret love, layer by layer, burning like wildfire.

Fan Xia, how can I have you!
