Regardless of his past, it was a past that had disappeared. The current him was just that, the present himself. William decided to think that way and eased his mind.

As the carriage left the Laurant Mansion, Siod questioned.

“You had a dream?”

“Oh, yes. Did you hear what Mother said?”
Siod lightly nodded his head and looked at William with concern. He wanted to teach William the dragon language, but he was worried that William might hesitate because of the dream.

“Um, so… can you teach me?”

“Yeah?”

“The dragon language.”

Siod hesitated before speaking.

“I was planning to teach you from the beginning. Once you learn the dragon language, you can be officially recognized as a dragonkin.”

“I’m not interested in that. I just… want to try using magic, make contracts with spirits, and stuff.”

Seeing Larisa getting along well with Silph, he thought making a contract wouldn’t be bad either. He also had thoughts of strengthening himself for the future.

“William, I hope you get recognized as a dragonkin. That’s the wish of me and Ginevra.”

“Why?”

“So you can be safe.”

“Am I in danger?”

“No.”

Siod smiled bitterly. He didn’t want to bring up the story of dragons questioning young William about the responsibility of time regression, separate from recalling the past.

“It’s just my selfish wish. As I said, you’re my first child, and if possible, I’d like you to be recognized as a Heir of Helwing and receive protection from all dragonkin.”

“Oh… but I do have relatives.”

Relatives? At the unexpected remark, Siod burst into laughter. Dragons didn’t have the concept of relatives.

“Why are you laughing? I asked just in case, since I don’t have anyone on my mother’s side.”
“Unfortunately, I don’t have any. My mother passed away, and I don’t know who my father is, and I don’t have any siblings.”

“I see…”

Siod’s mother had fulfilled her duty as soon as he woke up from the egg. She remained awake on the Korean Peninsula until she fell asleep and died, so there wasn’t much affection towards his mother.

“But still… since there aren’t many dragonkin left now, they might find it fascinating to meet you.”

Whether they would be pleased or not was uncertain. At least, if they were dragonkin, they had an obligation to protect Heirs of Helwing. Siod didn’t expect more from them.

“While we’re at it, please teach me now.”

“Now?”

“Yes, I think I’ll get used to it if I hear it frequently.”

[Alright.]

William frowned.

“What did you say?”

“I said alright.”

“But can I pronounce it even if I understand it?”

Siod laughed heartily. It was because of William’s earnest attitude to learn.

It’s another dream.

The moment the hypothesis that he dreams on the days he learns the dragon language was proven.

William instinctively looked down at his own hands. His fingers were thicker. This time, he seemed to have turned into an adult again.

“Wil, Willi… I…”

Startled by the frail voice, William raised his head. This time, he saw Larisa lying on the bed, not in the glass container.

“It hurts…”

Her flushed face was distressed.

“Larisa?”

“Water…”
William hurriedly looked around. Finding a kettle on an old table, he poured water into a cup. Larisa seemed to lack the strength even to lift her body.

He helplessly sat at the bedside and supported Larisa. Leaning weakly against his chest, Larisa received the water from the cup William brought to her lips.

And soon,

“Cough.”

She coughed, and blood came out.

“Lara!”

“Cough, cough. Gasp…”

With a pale face, William patted Larisa’s back. What should he do? Feeling helpless, thoughts of his mother came to his mind.

“It’s okay, let’s go to my mother. It’ll be okay, Larisa…”

“I’m cold…”

William wrapped Larisa tightly in a blanket. Coming outside the building, he could see that this place was the old house where Larisa and her mother used to live.

William rushed to catch a carriage without a moment’s thought. During the ride to the Rodante Mansion, Larisa had already lost consciousness. William shook her shoulders.

“Lara, you can’t sleep. Wake up. Huh?”

But there was no response. He wiped the blood on Larisa’s lips with his sleeve and hugged her tightly. A sense of overwhelming anxiety engulfed him.

He knows the outcome that follows. Larisa won’t die. His mother will somehow save her, even if she has to put her in a glass container.

The image of Larisa in the dream, crying for him to bring her out with tears of blood, flashed in his mind, but William did not stop running.

My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband

This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.

The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.

They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.

In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.

When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.

She makes his life a living hell.

And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.

Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!

Intro

Dong Xia lost her memory.

Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”

Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.

…

The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.

She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.

Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.

No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!

Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂

*

Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.

The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.

In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.

The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.

And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.

Notes:

1. The female lead is white on the outside, black on the inside, and the queen of flattery; the male lead repeatedly tests the edge of darkness, a VIP guest at the crematorium.

2. Fantasy cultivation world setting.
