On the banquet day, Larisa assisted Siod with the preparations. Guinevere was utterly uninterested in such matters, so deciding what flowers to use for table decorations and which tableware to bring out all fell to Larisa.

Seeing the finished table, Siod admired it aloud.

“Lara, you’ve got great taste.”

“Is it okay?”

“It’s nearly flawless at this point.”

Larisa was involved in every detail—finalizing the menu, assigning seats for the guests, and drafting the invitations. Siod was amazed that Larisa, only fourteen years old, handled banquet preparations so admirably.

“You’ve barely done this before, yet you manage everything so effortlessly.”

Typically, noble young ladies naturally picked up these skills by frequently assisting their mothers, but the Rodante household had never hosted a banquet.

Even Siod himself had studied specifically for tonight’s banquet, yet Larisa was meticulous as if born a noblewoman.

“I learned a lot from Julie. Isn’t this the bare minimum one should know?”

“It’s outstanding, really! William, we could’ve done without you.”

William awkwardly averted his gaze at Siod’s remark. He simply stood quietly and gave a slight nod.

To be honest, he hadn’t the faintest idea about ribbon colors or flower choices. He only thought Larisa looked happy, and that was pleasing enough.

It was fortunate. He’d feared she’d stay sullen and refuse to speak for days, but since that day, Larisa hadn’t shown the slightest resentment. She acted as if nothing had happened—and even initiated conversation with ease.

“What do you think? Doesn’t it look good to you too, Willi?”
