Whether his conviction was right or wrong seemed to have no bearing on maintaining his belief.
“I was curious, so I came, but as expected, it was nonsense without any reason. I’m glad I came, though. I was worried that if you really had big evidence, what would happen, but it turns out you don’t?”
Lean laughed.
“Seeing that you were worried about whether my words were true, it seems you have come to doubt yourself.”
“I guess you were hoping for that.”
Latil snatched the cocoa cup that Seoneut was holding and banged it down on the table.
“But no. Because there are many witnesses who saw Tilla live and take out the harem of Anakcha.”
“Can you be sure?”
“Yes.”
Latil, with a bright smile, knocked over the cup. The cup fell sideways, spreading the black cocoa sticky on the table.
As the cocoa spilled across the table and fell onto the expensive rug, Latil left the entrance without looking back.
But as Latil walked to the carriage, she clenched her hands tightly and murmured to herself as if brainwashing.
“It’s not me. It must not be me. It absolutely must not be me.”
[This is the time separator]At the same time.
In the dark underground castle, Tilla paced restlessly around the room.
“Damn… Damn!”
The moment when he was pushed back by that human mercenary kept coming to mind, making him angry. But within that anger was a fear he did not want to admit.
‘I am a vampire lord. Why……’
Humans know that lizards molt, but they don’t know how lizards begin to molt. Likewise, I know that a lord awakens, but I don’t know how the awakening occurs.
The advice given by Fox Mask was like this.
Tilla sat on the jade throne and bit his thumb. He was a vampire lord. But he couldn’t use a single power of a lord. The powers of the previous lords he read about in the library were not at this level.
Instead, he was more like Haeum, who was resurrected as a goblin.
Tilla clenched and unclenched his fist in anxiety.
‘It’s me. I must be the lord. I absolutely must be the lord.’
[This is the time separator]Just as a banging sound was heard, a wooden box fell onto his body. When a protruding nail from the box scratched his face, a sharp pain and blood flowed.
‘I really want to swear.’
Latil gritted her teeth.
After talking with her brother, her stomach felt like it was going to explode, so as soon as she returned from the star palace, she quickly washed and lay down on the bed.
But suddenly she didn’t know what was happening.
Isn’t this the fantasy she saw while eating sausage before fighting with those drunkards? But why is she seeing that fantasy now?
She saw a man inside a hut raising his fist, and the fantasy broke off. After that, the ‘body owner’ seemed to have been knocked down by that fist into a pile of boxes.
‘Seeing it continue in my room, it’s definitely not the memory of those drunkards.’
Latil tried to analyze the situation calmly, but she couldn’t do it well because of the ‘body owner’ whimpering.
“Dad. Why, why are you doing this. Why are you doing this to me.”
“I told you I’m not your dad!”
The man who shouted angrily picked up the axe next to him, and Latil screamed inside.
‘You crazy bastard!’
Even if it was someone else’s fantasy, she didn’t really want to see this scene.
“Stop it!”
Fortunately, before the man swung his axe, the woman inside the hut ran out and pushed the man away.
Caught off guard, the man stumbled, causing the axe he was holding to fall on the woman’s back.
“Mom, mom!”
The body’s host screamed out in agony.
It seemed the man had no intention of attacking the woman, as he hurriedly checked on her.
“Honey? Are you okay? Honey! Honey!”
The axe clattered to the side. Fortunately, the wound did not appear too deep as blood barely flowed out.
Blood was streaming from his own face, but the body’s host quickly got up and rushed towards the woman, rambling.
“I’ll call the doctor. Mom, I’ll get the doctor…”
Before he could finish his sentence, he was sent flying back into the box by the man’s swinging fist.
Whether he hit something wrong or not, his vision started to fill with blackness. It seemed like blood had gotten into his eyes as his forehead was torn.
“Dad. Why are you doing this?”
The body’s host whimpered in fear, but the man merely glanced at him with disdain and smacked him down.
“Why? Because you’re not my daughter! You’re just a child my wife picked up!”
“Dad……”
“It was a crazy thing to do. If I knew you were cursed, I should’ve given you back.”
“Dad, I’m……”
“Because of you, your mother is being called a black magician. It’s because of you! Because of the ominous signs you’ve been showing!”
His vision began to cloud, and it seemed like the body’s host was crying.
“I’m sick of this. You’re not even my daughter! Why should our family suffer because of a cursed wench!”
From inside the shanty, the sound of a baby crying ‘uhuh’ was heard.
The body’s host looked at the child in the crib in the shanty for a moment, then turned his gaze to the woman.
My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband
This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.
The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.
They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.
In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.
When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.
She makes his life a living hell.
And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.
Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!
Intro
Dong Xia lost her memory.
Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”
Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.
…
The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.
She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.
Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.
No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!
Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂
*
Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.
The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.
In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.
The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.
And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.
Notes:
1. The female lead is white on the outside, black on the inside, and the queen of flattery; the male lead repeatedly tests the edge of darkness, a VIP guest at the crematorium.
