Crown Prince Lean’s confidant stood hidden behind a bush, his lower body concealed by shrubbery and his upper body masked by a tree, staring intently at some spot within the main palace. It seemed to be a particular window.
Ranamun and Jaisin instinctively turned their heads toward the same window the confidant was watching. Sunlight reflected off the glass, making the interior hard to see clearly, though someone was definitely inside.

Jaisin asked in a hushed voice. The confidant was now mimicking the behavior of those who had just arrived, acting as though he too had come running at the sound of the explosion.
Just then, the confidant spotted someone among the approaching crowd and quickly moved to grab that person’s arm. The nobleman, who had been heading toward the smoke, momentarily froze in surprise.
