I visited Dae Jin Hospital to get a prescription for insomnia medication.

The hospital was bustling with crowds, probably because lunchtime had just ended.

Ji Hyun was a professor in the Department of Family Medicine here.

Even though I’d contacted her in a hurry, her suggestion that I come at a convenient time sounded incredibly kind.

‘This is exactly when having a friend comes in handy.’

Without Ji Hyun, it would’ve been much harder to visit the hospital so easily.

As soon as I stepped into the examination room, she looked up from her monitor and greeted me with evident delight.

“Come in! It’s not even your appointment day—I was surprised when you called. How are you feeling?”

“Other than not sleeping well at night, I’m fine.”

I gave Ji Hyun a reassuring smile in response to her worried inquiry.

Having received treatment here for a long time, she simply nodded in understanding without needing further explanation.

“Why can’t a new bride sleep? Did your honeymoon go well?”

“Yeah, we went to a resort—it was wonderful. But even after getting married, sleep still won’t come.”

Knowing I had someone I could rely on gave me a bit more emotional breathing room.

Still, sleeping peacefully seemed out of reach for now.
