I'll Marry Your Brother (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 11
I instinctively turned around, and there was Ji Han’s furious face staring back at me.
“What is it? At this hour?”
His fierce glare, directed straight at me, made me feel as though I’d be devoured at any second.
Judging by his car parked not far away, it seemed he’d been waiting for me.
I shifted my gaze back to him once more.
After a long silence, as if aiming a warning at me, he finally parted his tightly closed lips.
“What were you doing with my brother until this hour?”
He tightened his grip on my wrist with unyielding force.
The pain, sharp enough to feel like my wrist might snap, made me grimace—but he paid no heed.
“Answer me.”
Had everything that happened at the hotel today made him this furious?
Ji Han loomed over me, his eyes burning with rage.
‘I should be the one angry. Why are you acting like this?’
It was absurd. You were the one tangled up in something improper at the hotel—why are you lashing out at me?
His shameless attitude, completely reversing our roles, was utterly exhausting.
“What is there for me to answer?”
“What?”
I yanked my wrist from his grasp, revealing it swollen and red.
What a fiancé—completely indifferent to my condition.
Instead, Ji Han scowled even more sharply, seemingly provoked by my defiant reaction.
“I went to Jae Ha’s room because Seo Rin spilled wine on me.”
“…….”
“The dry-cleaned clothes just arrived, so I’ve only just come back. Satisfied?”
Even though I’d told him the truth plainly, his demeanor remained unchanged.
I shot him a frosty glare, matching his intense stare.
“Actually, I’d like to ask you something instead—how could you just stand by and watch me fall into such a mess?”
“…That’s—!”
“No matter that it was a gathering you arranged, you should’ve taken care of me—not Chae Seo Rin.”
My blunt reproach made him frown, clearly unprepared for me to scold him back.
The original Yoon Yeo Jin might’ve noticed something odd but never would’ve confronted him like this.
“If anyone saw us, they’d think you’re Seo Rin’s fiancé, not mine.”
“That’s ridiculous… Unbelievable.”
I kept staring at him wordlessly, causing Ji Han to let out a hollow laugh.
“You don’t actually think that, do you?”
“I can’t say I don’t.”
“I already explained it was a misunderstanding. Actually, let’s talk inside.”
Though the complex was deserted, Ji Han seemed uneasy about being seen and strode purposefully toward the apartment.
Realizing he’d follow me all the way inside, I called out to his retreating back.
“If you have something to say, say it here.”
“…….”
“I’m exhausted. I don’t want to argue with you inside the house too.”
Determined not to let him in, I stood rooted to the spot.
Eventually, he turned back toward me.
His eyes bore into mine, stubbornly probing for what lay beneath my composure.
“You’ve changed.”
He’d said those exact words to me once before.
Pretending ignorance despite knowing exactly what he meant, I looked up at him calmly.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“How can someone change so drastically overnight? The Yoon Yeo Jin I knew was never this fierce or loud.”
“Hah.”

A sigh escaped me involuntarily.
His words, as if I were merely a doll to be fitted into a pre-set mold, left me utterly exasperated.
“I don’t know why you met him today, but stay away from my brother.”
‘Today?’
His phrasing carried a hint—he seemed aware I’d met Jae Ha before.
Meeting Ji Han’s suddenly darkened gaze sent a chill down my spine.
“I know you two have met privately before, too.”
“Ha… So now you’re investigating me behind my back?”
It seemed all his prior lengthy words had merely been a prelude to this.
He wanted to warn me not to plot anything behind his back, without his knowledge.
The more I thought about his brazen attitude, the more absurd it became—until I nearly laughed.
“I’d call it concern, not investigation. I need to know what my own person is up to.”
Normally, people would call that suspicion…
Not knowing how much longer I’d have to endure his twisted logic, I looked up at him.
“I don’t know what nonsense Seo Jae Ha’s been feeding you, but my brother is a dreamer—completely impractical.”
Foolishly, he seemed convinced that Seo Jae Ha was the reason for my recent changes.
But then again… he could never imagine that his fiancée had changed because she’d literally died and come back to life.
‘That assumption probably makes far more sense to him.’
In fact, I was almost grateful to Jae Ha for drawing Ji Han’s attention away from the real truth.
He’d never dare imagine the dagger I was sharpening behind his back.
Then Ji Han held out a dark brown document envelope toward me.
“What’s this?”
Without a word, he merely gestured for me to open it.
Inside the envelope, bold letters on a white document caught my eye:
“Marriage Registration Form.”
My hand, clutching the stack of papers, trembled uncontrollably.
“You’re twenty-nine—not some naive child. You understand your situation, Yoon Yeo Jin. And right now, it’s not good.”
Ji Han spoke coldly about my current reality, his expression icy and detached.
His eyes warned me plainly: this was no time for childish stubbornness.
“You’re the only heir to a group with no proper successor.”
He stepped closer, toward my frozen form.
“You may have inherited substantial shares, but no shareholders will listen to a word you say.”
“…….”
“The only thing you can do right now is marry me and secure your position.”
His gaze seemed to say, ‘So stop entertaining foolish thoughts and just sign the marriage form.’
Ji Han’s blunt words were nearly threats.
Yet, at the same time, they were undeniably true.
If I were the me from before my regression, I might have caved under this pressure and stamped the form.
Unable to bear the loneliness, I’d have thrown myself into Seo Ji Han’s arms.
‘But I’m not that naive Yoon Yeo Jin anymore.’
Heat surged from deep within my chest, and I crumpled the edge of the document in my hand.
I took a deep breath, barely managing to swallow the fury threatening to erupt.
I clenched my fists so tightly my nails dug into my palms.
Part of me wanted to tear the papers to shreds—but now wasn’t the time. I had to endure.
“Are you… threatening me right now?”
“If it sounded like a threat, then I’m sorry.”
He still looked straight at me with that shameless calm, offering a cold smile.
Then Ji Han slowly shook his head and spoke softly,
“I’d prefer to call it concern for my fiancée.”
A lie.

Just like that, as if he’d never been angry, he reverted to his usual composed self.
“And I hope we can clear up today’s misunderstandings right here.”
In my previous life, I’d never raised my voice to argue with him.
That’s why his ability to switch instantly from explosive rage to calm rationality sent chills down my spine.
“If we get married, all your problems will be solved—succession issues, troublesome shareholder meetings, everything.”
His eyes held an arrogant certainty that I’d accept this marriage.
Yes—if he’s going to be deluded, better to make it absolute.
“Yes. Marriage really is the surest solution.”
Swallowing the denial I couldn’t quite voice, I curled the corners of my lips into a smile.
“I’d like my husband to take over the group as well.”
But that husband won’t be you.
Hearing my quiet words, Ji Han finally broke into a satisfied smile.
“Good thinking. Get some rest.”
With that, Ji Han turned and walked away.
I stood rooted to the same spot long after he’d left, then finally turned and entered the house.
.
.
.
Stepping into the darkened house, I flipped on the light switch.
I set down the shopping bag I’d been carrying and collapsed onto the sofa.
Inside the bag on the table, a brown envelope peeked out.
‘A marriage registration form…?’
I let out a bitter laugh, recalling Ji Han’s shameless face as he’d proposed marriage.
As I pulled the documents from the envelope, a message arrived from the person I’d assigned to keep tabs on Ji Han—along with a photo.
In the picture, Seo Rin stood stunned in Ji Han’s arms as he helped her out of a car.
She must have thought he’d already left for home and been startled when he returned.
“Looks like two people are enough for a marriage.”
I looked forward to the future of those two penniless souls.
There was no way we’d ever get married in this life. The marriage form in my hand crumpled violently.
“Laugh all you want for now.”
Staring at Seo Rin’s smiling face in the photo, I tore the crumpled documents in my hands to pieces.
Before my eyes, the shredded papers fluttered apart like confetti into the air.
“Because that smile won’t last long.”

Early in the morning, a phone call came in.
— “Announcer Yoon, please start work again next Monday.”
After receiving the call from the Head of Department instructing me to return to work, I stood frozen in place for a long while.
The sudden news of my reinstatement left me utterly bewildered.
“But… you said it wasn’t possible before.”
— “Well, about that… returning as main anchor is difficult. But it’s not entirely out of the question, either.”
His ambiguous phrasing—was I being reinstated or not?—made me tilt my head in confusion.
— “I have some news I think Announcer Yoon will be pleased to hear.”
“Pleased news?”
— “I’ll explain when you come in. Let’s discuss the details in person.”
Instead of answering my question directly, the Head of Department left me with a vague reply and hung up.
I vividly remembered his adamant refusal in Ji Han’s office just the other day, saying anchor reinstatement was impossible.
‘If they’ve already decided to let me return, it must mean something’s changed with Chae Seo Rin’s anchor appointment.’
Though he’d said returning as main anchor wasn’t an option, his hesitant tone suggested there might still be a chance for me—
depending entirely on how I chose to intervene.
Though I didn’t know the full details, this outcome was more satisfying than expected, and a lightness settled over my heart.

After hanging up with the Head of Department, I sat on the terrace, contemplating what lay ahead, and let a faint smile grace my lips.
