The final dress, which exposed the collarbone, had a completely different atmosphere from the dress I wore at the wedding with Jihan.

‘This seems to be the best one.’

I felt like I had to decide on this dress.

At the moment when I was about to move to the dressing room for the fitting, I heard Seorin’s voice.

“Where’s the bride who came alone to wear the dress without anyone accompanying her?”

Facing each other, Seorin looked at me with a pitiful expression.

While Oh Yeosa briefly went to the restroom, leaving the seat empty, Seorin, sitting alone, seemed pathetic.

“You’re alone too, aren’t you?”

In my eyes, Seorin coming alone to see wedding dresses without Jihan was no different.

Well, when I thought she was making an effort, I felt sorry for Seorin.

Seorin, as if she had read the sadness revealed in my expression, burst into laughter.

“Alone? Can’t you see that my mother is here? And my brother is busy today, so he couldn’t come!”

“Right, let’s say that’s the case.”
On Seorin’s wardrobe, several dresses were hanging, and Oh Yeosa, who had briefly left, returned.

Oh Yeosa, who was rummaging through dresses filled with Seorin’s preferences, sat back in her seat.

“Mother, how about this dress? The hall is splendid, so it’s okay if the dress is bold, right?”

Oh Yeosa looked up and down the dress Seorin had taken from the wardrobe and nodded approvingly.

Flipping through the catalog, Oh Yeosa, without making eye contact with Seorin, replied.

“I’m done.”

“…….”

“I came to have lunch today. Wear whatever you want.”

Seorin was moved by Oh Yeosa’s suggestion of lunch first and smiled even brighter.

Then, turning back to me, she shrugged her shoulders with a triumphant look in her eyes.

Her gaze seemed to say, ‘See, she doesn’t make such suggestions to her sister?’

“You mentioned L Hotel, right? Shall I show you several dresses with a glamorous design suitable for that hall?”

“Yes, please. And I want to try this one on.”

Seorin handed the dress she held in her hands to the staff.

As Seorin disappeared into the fitting room to try on the dress, Oh Yeosa, who had been casually sitting, glanced at me.

“Did Jeaha not come with you?”

At the moment when I was about to enter the fitting room to change into the clothes I brought.

Oh Yeosa’s voice reached me, grabbing my attention.

“Yes.”

“Too bad. If your husband were our Jihan, this time would have been quite meaningful.”

Oh Yeosa, with her fist clenched, sat deep on the sofa and stared at me.

A meaningful time…

The words still revealed lingering regrets about W Group, and I smiled with a mixture of self-pity.

And it was just the moment when I was about to say something to Oh Yeosa.

The sound of men’s shoes, starting faintly from a distance, gradually approached, echoing on the floor.

Oh Yeosa’s gaze, which had been directed at me, shifted to behind me at the approaching footsteps.

Her pupils slowly enlarged as she discovered the face of the person coming.

“Madam, what you just said was a bit inappropriate. Please don’t involve yourself with another man when you’re about to become someone’s wife.”

Surprised by the familiar low voice, I turned around.

Oh Yeosa, who had despised Jeaha’s unexpected appearance, stood up abruptly.

“Jae, Jeaha. How did you…!”

“I turned the car on my way to a business trip. I couldn’t stand it after seeing a picture of this person in a dress.”

My heart pounded with surprise and anxiety.

I had sent Jeaha a few pictures of me in dresses that the staff had taken.

Since then, there had been no reply for a long time, so I thought he might be busy on his way.

I never expected him to come back to the dress shop.

‘…What if he comes without saying anything like this?’

As if it wasn’t enough to be in the same space with Seorin and Oh Yeosa, it was agonizingly unbearable.

And just when I wanted to run away, appearing like this was cheating.

As Jeaha approached me, my heart beat faster with each rapid rhythm.
He gazed at me in a dress and pulled me close, wrapping his arms around my waist.

Within Jeaha’s broad embrace, my mind went hazy.

Did he turn the car to Busan just to see me in a dress?

Why go to such lengths…

The more I thought, the more unbelievable the situation seemed.

The touch of Jeaha’s hand on my waist made my heart pound again.

“Ms. Yeojin.”

In the midst of the fluttering emotions, Jeaha’s subdued voice brought me back to reality.

“What happened? You were supposed to be on your way to Busan.”

In a small voice, audible only to him, I asked, feeling the warm gaze of Oh Yeosa belatedly.

“I delayed the meeting.”

Nonchalantly, Jeaha replied as if postponing a dinner appointment.

Looking at him like that, I couldn’t help but burst into laughter.

“What about your secretary? You came together, didn’t you?”

“She’s waiting downstairs. I have about ten minutes to spare before seeing her.”

At the mention of a secretary waiting, a sigh almost escaped my lips.

Jeaha had indeed come here against the odds.

“What on earth are you thinking?”

When male lead is the homewrecker

“I know she doesn’t love him.”

I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!

The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.

Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.

The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.

I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.

There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.

For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.

I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.

Here’s the story synopsis:

One-line summary: She is his lifelong obsession, to the point where he was willing to be a third wheel, scorned by society, just to wedge his way into her relationship with her fiancé.

Cold-hearted and indifferent female lead + Scheming and subservient CEO male lead

Intro 1:

“I know she doesn’t love him.”

With blood trickling from his clenched fist, Rong Xiu gazed at the woman before him, his eyes clouded with anguish. Hidden in the wardrobe, he had witnessed Fan Xia – the woman he desperately loved – in an intimate embrace with her fiancé. Yet his heart still yearned for her, defying all reason.

Fan Xia, the elegant and composed assistant, carried something mysterious in her eyes whenever she looked at her fiancé, Wen Lan Sheng. Strange occurrences began to surface – secret meetings with the young Gu Jin Yi, an unexplained withdrawal of 5,000 yuan… Then suddenly, her fiancé’s sister, Wen Jing, violently attacked her.

In this matriarchal society, Rong Xiu had risen to become the chairman of a powerful healthcare conglomerate, breaking through gender prejudices. But for the first time, he willingly stepped into the shadows as the other man, disregarding his friends’ warnings to become her secret lover.

Because he had discovered the truth – Fan Xia wasn’t the pure angel everyone believed her to be. And perhaps, he was the only one capable of helping her execute her mysterious plan…

Intro 2:

Rong Xiu’s biggest regret in life was missing out on Fan Xia.

He secretly loved Fan Xia for 7 years.

Watched her go public with her boyfriend.

Watched her kiss her boyfriend at their wedding.

Until that man blissfully nestled in Fan Xia’s arms, obtaining everything he could only dream of.

The crazy jealousy stripped away his hidden secret love, layer by layer, burning like wildfire.

Fan Xia, how can I have you!
