President Jin, who returned straight home, shouted at the top of his lungs from the front door, calling for his wife, Hye Suk.

“Mrs. Kwak, come out here for a moment!”

Apparently having drunk heavily, President Jin’s face was flushed bright red.

Hye Suk emerged from the master bedroom and cautiously observed his mood.

Judging by his foul temper, things evidently hadn’t gone well with Do Jun. On a day like today, she needed to tread carefully.

“Honey, I’ll run some bathwater—go wash up quickly.”

As Hye Suk approached him, President Jin suddenly barked at her.

“That’s exactly what I said—we should stop pestering Tae Yeon so much!”

Despite having persistently called Tae Yeon himself, hounding her like a rat, President Jin was now venting his frustration pointlessly onto Hye Suk.

Taking his suit jacket, Hye Suk asked,

“What on earth are you talking about all of a sudden?”

“He said Chairman Cha suspects us—and Tae Jin—of keeping tabs on her.”

Hye Suk looked utterly baffled—why would the man she’d sent out to secure investment for Cha Shin Heritage return home and suddenly blame her?

President Jin jabbed his finger and tapped Hye Suk sharply on the shoulder.

“He said all our constant calls to Tae Yeon are preventing the poor girl from even conceiving a grandchild! Chairman Cha, I mean!”
