“Your grip felt like it was to keep me from escaping, yet it was strangely comforting,” Tae Yeon reflected, nodding in response to Do Jun’s words.
She could almost feel the emotions of a young Do Jun. It was just holding hands, but such a simple gesture had given her comfort and solace. Intriguingly, Do Jun was the one who made her experience this.
Turning her gaze towards Do Jun’s handsome face, Tae Yeon spoke with a poised voice, “I’ll hold your hand all the way home.”
“Thank you,” Do Jun appreciated.
“Don’t mention it. I’m really sorry about today,” Tae Yeon expressed regretfully.
“Why does Jin Tae Yeon feel sorry? The apology should come from someone else,” he queried.
“Because it was my mother who made the mistake,” Tae Yeon explained.
Soon, the car carrying the two reached their newlywed home. Secretary Choi quickly opened the rear door for them.
“Director, if you feel worse at any time, please call me,” Choi said.
“Okay, Secretary Choi, you can go home now,” Do Jun responded, still interlocking his hands with Tae Yeon as they entered their house.

Mrs. Choi, who had been informed by Tae Yeon earlier, was waiting with a first aid kit at the front door.
“Director, I heard you got injured,” she greeted.
“I’m fine,” Do Jun reassured her.
“I can treat you,” Mrs. Choi offered.
“No, my wife will do it,” he insisted, almost snatching the first aid kit from Mrs. Choi’s hands and pulling Tae Yeon along.
After directing Mrs. Choi to leave, the couple headed towards their bedroom.
Placing the first aid kit on the bed, Do Jun grimaced slightly as he started to take off his jacket, feeling a tingling sensation in his back. He paused halfway through.
Observing this, Tae Yeon quickly moved to help him from behind.
“I’ll help you take it off,” she offered, grabbing the half-removed jacket.
A soft chuckle fell from Do Jun’s lips onto Tae Yeon’s face.

“Why are you laughing?” Tae Yeon questioned.
“Jin Tae Yeon, the way you just phrased that could easily be misconstrued,” Do Jun teased playfully.
“I didn’t mean…” Tae Yeon trailed off, biting her lip. She had spoken without thinking, noticing his discomfort.
“It was nothing…” she tried to clarify.
“I know, Jin Tae Yeon. You meant nothing by it,” Do Jun assured her, bending his knees slightly to facilitate the removal of his jacket.
Swiftly, Tae Yeon removed his jacket and then moved in front of him.
“Could you unbutton your shirt as well?” she asked.
“Pardon?” he responded.
“The injury seems deep enough to prevent you from raising your arm,” he explained, trying but failing to lift his arm.
“I’ll do it. Just stay still,” Tae Yeon said as she pulled his tie loose and moved her hands to unfasten the topmost button of his shirt.
“As you can see, the wound seems deep, my arm isn’t lifting well,” Do Jun said, trying to raise his arm but grimacing and giving up.

“I’ll do it. Just stay still,” Tae Yeon responded, pulling on Do Jun’s tie to loosen it and then moving her hands to the buttons at the top of his shirt.
She wanted to appear calm, but it was impossible with Do Jun staring so intensely at her face.
“Do Jun,” she called out.
“Tell me,” he replied.
“It’s a bit overwhelming with you looking at me like that,” Tae Yeon admitted honestly.
To her surprise, Do Jun’s lips curled into a bright smile.
“Sorry, I was mesmerized by your beauty and didn’t realize it made you uncomfortable.”
Tae Yeon had heard she was beautiful countless times before. Although she knew it was just a compliment, hearing it from Do Jun made her want to attach more meaning to it.
Suppressing her rapidly beating heart, Tae Yeon focused on unbuttoning his shirt, but her nervous hands kept slipping.
“You don’t seem to have much experience with this,” Do Jun commented.

“Of course not. When would I have ever undressed a man?” Tae Yeon replied.
Do Jun’s lips curved into a pleased smile, seemingly enjoying the challenge of her task.
Feeling increasingly warm under his intense gaze, Tae Yeon hurried her movements.
With each button undone, more of his well-toned muscles were revealed.
Sighing internally at the daunting task, Tae Yeon finally undid all the buttons and reached up to grasp his shirt collar.
Just as she was about to help him out of his shirt, Do Jun suddenly caught her wrist with a sound.
Apparently, his claim of not being able to lift his arm was entirely false.
“Jin Tae Yeon, I’m in a lot of pain right now,” Do Jun said.
Tae Yeon was speechless.
“You can be a bit more considerate to a patient, right?”

Before she could respond, Do Jun’s face was suddenly very close to hers.
Then, his warm breath brushed against Tae Yeon’s lips.
Male lead is a Divorced Husband
She said to him: “Tell me, what makes you like me? I’ll change it!”
Liu Changning transmigrated into a female cannon fodder character in a female-dominant novel.
After reading the first half of the novel’s plot, the first thing she did upon transmigration was to divorce the Pan Jinlian-style male protagonist she had just married.
She indulged herself, pretending to be ugly and poor.
But as time passed, the way that man looked at her became more and more unusual…
Liu Changning was dumbfounded: Tell me, what makes you like me? I’ll change!
――
This lifetime, Pei Yuanshao was rejected by the same woman twice!
The first time, she drove him away. Forced by the situation, he endured the waves of anger in his heart, yielding and humbling himself.
That person lay slanted on a rocking chair, her sallow face emotionless: “If you don’t want a divorce, go cook!”
Pei Yuanshao’s face was dark and gloomy: “You!”
The second time, after the crisis in Jinling City was resolved, the new emperor sent someone to pick him up. He turned around, stammering: “I… I have to go. If you keep me…”
That person lay on the kang bed, her back to him, as if she had long anticipated this day, crisp and clear: “Goodbye!”
Pei Yuanshao was so angry his fingers trembled: “You… you!”
The mission of family and country made him restrain himself, averting his eyes and turning to leave this broken household.
Two years later, they met again. Seeing her ethereal face, his body shook like a sieve.
“She was originally a ‘she’!”
At the Qionglin Banquet, the top scholar of the imperial examination, a talented person with exceptional speech and conduct, all the unmarried young gentlemen from aristocratic families looked at her with shy and timid eyes.
The peerless imperial official Pei Yuanshao felt the anger in his heart erupt. He pointed at the woman surrounded by the crowd at the Qionglin Banquet, his thin lips slightly curled: “Little sister, I wants that person to be the wife-master of my Mingde Prince Manor.”
