“Why do you ask?”
“Why? Well,” Do Jun replied with a sly smile, seemingly puzzled by the question.
“No, we had enough budget to book two separate rooms.”
“That’s the point. We used the money for two rooms to book a suite instead.”
“Haah.”
Tae Yeon looked like she was on the verge of tears, overwhelmed and unable to argue with Do Jun’s perfectly logical responses.
“You do know that if Cha Chairman hears about this, it’s going to be a problem, right?”
“What if other company employees find out?”
“Nobody knows except for Secretary Choi. So, you don’t have to worry about that.”
Do Jun appeared to ask if there was anything else problematic.

Sigh. Tae Yeon let out a soft sigh. Noticing her reaction, Do Jun asked teasingly,
“Jin Tae Yeon, were you planning to use separate rooms for some secret nightlife activities?”
“What?”
Tae Yeon was taken aback, unable to respond. Do Jun stopped unbuttoning his shirt and looked serious.
“What? I was just guessing. Is it true?”
“Of course not.”
“Then there’s no reason for us to use separate rooms, is there?”
Do Jun glanced around the spacious suite.
“If you’re worried about getting work done, it shouldn’t be a problem. There are plenty of rooms here.”
“We’re going to sleep here… together?”

“Yes, together. Wherever we are.”
Tae Yeon’s face showed her confusion.
Of course, she hadn’t expected such a reaction from him.
Though they could have booked separate rooms, Do Jun deliberately chose not to.
He was concerned that if word got out that they shared separate rooms on a business trip, it might reach Cha Chairman’s ears.
There were enough rooms in the suite to sleep separately if she wanted.
But somehow, he didn’t want to let Tae Yeon go.
“Jin Tae Yeon, we’ve been apart for 1 year and 6 months.”
“Yes.”
“I believe we need to make efforts to bridge that time.”

Do Jun then continued to unbutton his shirt.
“I booked one room because I want to get closer to you.”
“…….”
“And to enjoy the Busan night view together, not just the familiar Seoul skyline.”
Tae Yeon’s eyes shook intensely.
“I’m making efforts to get closer as a couple.”
Tae Yeon couldn’t say anything. Do Jun took a step closer to her.
His well-defined abs were visible through the open shirt, causing Tae Yeon to quickly avert her gaze to the floor.
“I’d like your cooperation.”
“What kind of cooperation….”

“To stay close, to build up affection, even if it wasn’t there before.”
This man keeps making remarks that lead to misunderstandings.
Regardless of Do Jun’s intentions, Tae Yeon heard his words as:
I booked one room because I want to be with you.
I want to spend time together, watching the Busan night view.
Tae Yeon bit her lip.
It wasn’t that she disliked the idea of sharing a room with Do Jun.
She kept misunderstanding his words, and she didn’t like that about herself.
And she was nervous about being found out.
Do Jun tossed his shirt to the floor and approached her.

“Unfortunately, there’s only one bathroom.”
“…….”
“Jin Tae Yeon, if you’re feeling uncomfortable, we can shower together.”
Tae Yeon’s mouth dropped open in shock.
“Together… what are you suggesting?”
Do Jun, seemingly oblivious to the implications of his words, threw his arms up in the air as if to say he meant nothing else by it.
“I thought you might want to shower quickly too.”
“No, you go ahead and shower first, Do Jun.”
Tae Yeon hurriedly pushed him towards the bathroom, shoving him inside and closing the door firmly behind him.
Soon, the sound of the shower filled the room.
“Haah.”

The sound of the shower felt strangely suggestive, reminiscent of the intense look Do Jun had given her earlier.
Tae Yeon rushed to the living room and slumped onto the sofa, feeling strangely drained despite having done nothing.
Do Jun’s words lingered in her ears, no matter how much she tried to shake them off.
“It’s a misunderstanding waiting to happen!”
She was frustrated that Do Jun always seemed to create situations that led to misunderstandings but always managed to slip away unscathed.
More unsettling was how her heart fluttered at every word he said, like a reed swaying in the wind.
In the shower, Do Jun let out chuckles that could no longer be contained. Alone, there was no need to hold back.
He kept picturing Tae Yeon’s flustered face at the beach – her wide, startled eyes and cute expressions.
“I almost told her she’s cute.”
He barely stopped himself from saying those words out loud.

As Do Jun washed his face, he gently touched the area around his lips where Tae Yeon’s breath had reached.
It felt different when it was her touch and breath, not just his own hand.
“She’s dangerously attractive. Does she even realize that?”
Despite his words, a smile lingered on Do Jun’s lips.
He struggled to contain himself around her, feeling desires he had never experienced before swell deep within.
“It’s trouble.”
The night seemed to stretch ahead endlessly.

Xin Jiao Zhou: “???”
He fell ill.
She came to see him, bringing breakfast.
As she put down the breakfast and was about to leave, his hand slipped while holding the spoon. “Clank!”
She turned around upon hearing the noise.
He looked up at her, his eyebrows drooping: “My hand… has no strength.”
“Shall I… feed you?” she asked tentatively.
He opened his mouth cheerfully: “Ah—”
Thinking she was drowning, he jumped in without hesitation to save her, but nearly drowned himself. In the end, it was she who swam over to rescue him, giving him air underwater.
After emerging from the water, his ear tips turned red. He lightly brushed his cheek, tucking his sideburns behind his ear, revealing delicate, pink-tinged ear tips. He lowered his gaze, too embarrassed to look at her.
