It was a pleasant weekend.
Do Jun’s car stopped in front of Tae Yeon’s family home.
As soon as she got out of the car, the warm wind messed up Tae Yeon’s hair.
She rechecked her outfit and stood in front of the towering black gate. Yet, Tae Yeon hesitated to ring the doorbell.
It had always been like this whenever she came to this house. She was afraid to enter.
Maybe she knew she would feel an oppressive sensation, even stronger than what the black gate was giving, once she stepped inside.
The other hand of Tae Yeon, tightly holding her bag, was trembling slightly. Watching her, Do Jun slowly extended his hand.
His finger joined hers, intending to press the doorbell. Tae Yeon was startled by the warm temperature transferred from his hand.
“Miss Jin Tae Yeon, stay behind me.”
Do Jun pressed the doorbell. The gate opened with a heavy sound after verifying the faces of the two.
Without letting go of Tae Yeon’s hand he was holding, Do Jun entered the gate first, then pulled her hand.

As they headed towards the house across the spacious garden, Do Jun whispered to Tae Yeon.
“I plan to finish the meal as quickly as possible.”
It was a welcome statement.
Just as Tae Yeon was about to reply, the front door swung open and Chairman Jin appeared.
“My daughter, you’re here?”
He spread his arms wide and rushed out to hug Tae Yeon.
Seeing Chairman Jin like this, Tae Yeon was frightened and let go of Do Jun’s hand. Then, clutching her bag with both hands, she looked at Chairman Jin with her shaking pupils.
Chairman Jin, as if not caring about Tae Yeon’s reaction, warmly embraced her thin shoulders and stroked her back with one hand.
“My daughter, your father missed you a lot.”
To anyone watching, they seemed like a very affectionate father and daughter. However, to Do Jun, only Tae Yeon, who was stiff from fear, was visible.
Chairman Jin let go of Tae Yeon and addressed Do Jun standing next to her.
“Long time no see, Master Cha. Have you been well?”
“Yes, I have been well.”
Unlike other chaebols, Chairman Jin spoke casually. He claimed to be laidback, but in reality, he was just a person without any formality.
Chairman Jin turned around and entered the house first.

On their way to the house, Do Jun again took Tae Yeon’s hand. Tae Yeon’s cold hand was warming up with Do Jun’s warmth.
They sat down at the table, heading for the kitchen. There were only three places set. Chairman Jin opened his mouth seeing Do Jun staring blankly at the table.
“Your mother went out early this morning for volunteer work. We can eat quietly among ourselves. Is that okay, Master Cha?”
Still, Do Jun’s face seemed to be looking for someone. He probably hoped to see Tae Yeon’s older sister, Tae Jin, whom he had only seen in pictures, but she seemed not to appear.
“Well, let’s start eating.”
Chairman Jin started the meal first.
Do Jun picked up his chopsticks and brought over the braised ribs placed in the center of the table. After separating the bones for easier consumption, he put them on Tae Yeon’s plate.
The eyes of Tae Yeon and Chairman Jin simultaneously moved to the same spot. Tae Yeon cleared her throat and let out a small sound.
“I can eat by myself, Mr. Do Jun.”
“Eat a lot, Miss Jin Tae Yeon.”
Tae Yeon smiled faintly and popped the braised rib that Do Jun had given her into her mouth.
There were hardly any times when she could enjoy her meal at this house.
She always felt as if she was chewing paper instead of eating because of the dry feeling in her throat.
But today was different. The simple fact that Do Jun was by her side strangely gave her strength.

Whenever Chairman Jin talked to Tae Yeon, Do Jun would step in and answer first. Thanks to that, Tae Yeon was able to continue her meal, albeit in small bites.
As the meal was almost over, warm chamomile tea was placed in front of the three.
Then, Chairman Jin brought up the purpose of calling Do Jun that day.
“Tae Yeon, what idea will you propose for the new business this time?”
“Huh?”
“Your products always got good responses. So, I’m curious about this time too.”
Chairman Jin continued speaking with a big grin.
“Master Cha coming to KK Food makes me feel so strong. I wonder how well he will take care of Tae Yeon…….”
“You don’t need to worry about that.”
“Hehehe. Our Master Cha is so reliable.”
President Jin started pressing Tae Yeon again as he took a sip of his tea.
“Tae Yeon, so what kind of idea do you have for the new product? Give your father a hint.”
“I’m still considering.”
“It’d be good if it’s something that can also be used with the Cha Shin Corporation’s products. It would be a winwin.”
President Jin had finally shown his true colors. Do Jun, who had been silently listening, spoke out with a firm voice.
“The theme for the new product is diet.”
“Oh… Really?”
“Yes. So, it might be difficult to include Cha Shin Corporation’s products this time.”
“Hey, Mr. Cha. What do you mean ‘include’? I just meant that if our product can also be used, it should be.”
