Such minor deeds didn’t really hurt Do Jun. After all, Do Jun didn’t even remember the names of those girls.
Every time, such an indifferent reaction only stimulated Ha Joon more.
If he had been questioned even once in front of him about such things, he wouldn’t have bothered Do Jun to this extent.
He couldn’t hear a single word from Do Jun asking him why he was doing this.
After Ha Joon’s biological mother died, Chairman Cha remarried Do Jun’s mother not long after.
Ever since Do Jun came to this house, the love that Chairman Cha had solely given to Ha Joon became halved.
It was even difficult to say it was halved. Most of his attention was directed towards Do Jun.
So, he didn’t like anything about Do Jun.
Having lost his mother in an instant and even his father’s love being taken away.
Ha Joon glared at Do Jun with sharp eyes.

“Do Jun, you’re not delusional enough to think that the KK Group will become yours, right?”
At that, Do Jun raised his eyebrows and smirked.
“Of course. Why would I harbor such illusions?”
When Ha Joon was about to heave a sigh of relief.
Do Jun’s heavy voice flowed smoothly.
“It’s a confirmed fact.”
“You…”
When Ha Joon was trembling. The one who warned this time was Do Jun.
“End your unwarranted interest in my wife now.”
Ha Joon let out a dry laugh.
“Anyone would think we married out of love.”
Do Jun slowly raised his eyes.
“Considering what you want to obtain, your act of a strategic marriage is perfect.”
Their conversation was interrupted due to Tae Yeon, who went to the restroom and returned.
As Tae Yeon awkwardly smiled and sat next to Do Jun, she held his hand again.
Different from before, she put their hands on top of the table for everyone to see.
The one surprised this time was Do Jun.

Without even looking at Ha Joon, Tae Yeon spoke to Do Jun.
“Do Jun, would you like to go shopping with me after we eat?”
This was a conversation that had already ended yesterday. Do Jun was curious why Tae Yeon brought this up out of the blue.
Tae Yeon closed her eyes sweetly and spoke with a tender voice.
“I saw a suit that suits you, Do Jun. I want to make you try it on and buy it for you.”
Her tone was sweet enough to make anyone think that she was truly doing this for her husband. Do Jun quickly hid his confusion and happily responded.
“Sounds good. I had something I wanted to buy you as a birthday present, too.”
After waiting for a while and seeing no signs of Chairman Cha arriving, Do Jun got up first. Following him, Tae Yeon also rose.
“We’ll go ahead. It’s regretful that our date time keeps getting cut short.”
Watching the two leave, Ha Joon chuckled, shaking his head as if it was ridiculous.
“Ha ha ha.”
And then, Ha Joon made a phone call somewhere.
((()))((()))((()))
After getting into Do Jun’s car, Tae Yeon watched his reactions.
She was constantly worried about holding Do Jun’s hand without talking about it.

As he smoothly started the car, Do Jun brought up the topic first.
“Thank you earlier, Jin Tae Yeon.”
“Huh?”
“For acting affectionately in front of my brother.”
“Oh. It’s what I should do, right?”
Although she only went to the restroom to wash her hands and returned, she could hear the cold conversation between the brothers, so she couldn’t step inside easily.
While quietly listening to their conversation from outside, she unknowingly approached Do Jun as if enchanted when she heard what Ha Joon said.
「Anyone would think we married out of love.」
Of course, what Ha Joon said wasn’t wrong.
However, she was suddenly afraid that if Chairman Cha heard about it and it caused problems for Do Jun inheriting the KK Group.
Chairman Cha thought that they had been living as a loving couple even during the period they were separated.
Keeping her place beside Do Jun during their married life was also a role Tae Yeon had to play.
So, without thinking deeply, she went inside and suddenly held Do Jun’s hand.
Reflecting on the recent situation.
The car the two were in had arrived at the department store. As Do Jun got out of the car, he asked,
“The personal shopper is on standby.”
And he seemed to give Tae Yeon a choice as he brought up another option.
“If you want to go shopping around yourself, I’m fine with that too.”
After some thought, Tae Yeon chose the latter.
“I want to take a stroll and look around slowly.”
“Sure.”
((()))((()))((()))
The first place the two arrived at was a luxury jewelry store that Tae Jin had visited a few days ago.
Without hesitation, Do Jun strode towards the corner with watches and rings.
And he pointed at the watch he’d seen in the photo and asked for Tae Yeon’s opinion.
“What do you think of this watch?”
The employee brought out the watch and placed it in front of Tae Yeon for her to see.
Tae Yeon carefully examined the watch that Do Jun had chosen. It was a watch with numerous dazzling jewels, which was not to Tae Yeon’s taste.

“Not really…”
As Tae Yeon was about to express her disapproval, the employee quickly continued with the explanation of the watch.
“This watch, only three have come into the country.”
Even so, it was not of great importance to Tae Yeon. Do Jun asked casually,
“Is this the last one left?”
“Yes. One person bought one last week.”
Despite asking the question, Do Jun carefully observed Tae Yeon. Despite looking at the watch, Tae Yeon looked rather indifferent.
When male lead is the homewrecker
“I know she doesn’t love him.”
I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!
The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.
Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.
The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.
I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.
There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.
For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.
I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.
