Being in Dojun’s arms made the regret even more intense. It felt like I burdened this man, who was already busy, with unnecessary things because of me. And there was something more worrying than that.
Taeyeon, who had returned to Korea, knew better than anyone how hard Dojun had worked to lift KK Food in his absence. Now, she wondered if he had gained the chairman’s trust. Unfortunately, the product I was in charge of seemed to not only be useless but also seemed to have tripped him up. With her eyes closed, Taeyeon, nestled in Dojun’s arms, thought about who might benefit from this situation.
Regret followed by more regret.
Being embraced in Dojun’s arms only intensified the regret even more.

Please, let it not be true, she wished, but from earlier, there were people passing through her mind repeatedly.

Jin Chairman and Taejin.
Jin Chairman was someone who wished for this divorce more than anyone, and Taejin was simply a person who ran towards my misfortune.
Did those two really go this far?
If it were true.
If Chairman Jin was involved in this matter.
If so.
The day when Chairman Jin threatened me to divorce Dojun.
It might not have reached this point if I had just handed over divorce papers to Dojun and left him.
Or, if I hadn’t married Dojun at all…
Dojun, holding Taeyeon silently in his arms, seemed to notice something strange about her.

He loosened the grip on her in his arms and carefully stared at Taeyeon’s face.
Her eyes, which were originally moist, seemed to have a hint of tears.
“Ms. Jin Taeyeon.”
“Yes, Mr. Dojun.”
After calling Taeyeon’s name, Dojun remained silent for a while.
“The thoughts you’re having right now, aren’t they?”
“…”
“I hope you’re not having those thoughts.”
Even though he couldn’t know what Taeyeon was thinking, Dojun spoke as if he knew everything.
Glancing around, Dojun slowly bent down.

Then, he gently covered Taeyeon’s lips.
Feeling the warm and affectionate heat, Taeyeon faintly smiled.
Dojun, with a regretful expression, lifted his body.
“Shall we go inside now?”
The two of them, slightly apart, walked towards the entrance.
Bang.
With the sound of popping champagne, laughter spread inside the club room.
People who attended the party, suddenly opened without any reason, were all excited.
Among them, the person laughing as if startled by someone flying in the sky was Taejin and Haejun.
With the sound of glasses filled with champagne clashing in the air, the two quickly emptied their glasses.

Looking satisfied, Haejun spoke to Taejin.
“There are various ways.”
Taejin shrugged his shoulders.
“Well, I’m Jin Taejin.”
“How did you find someone to handle that matter?”
“Just something. Trade secret?”
Acting as if it were a significant secret, Haejun chuckled amusingly.
“But you handled it properly, right?”
“Ah, of course. It’s set up just like what Jin Taeyeon did. Can’t escape once it’s done.”
Taejin looked very confident.
Since she said so, Haejun deliberately ignored the anxiety that kept coming.

Having another drink, Taejin spoke.
“I provided a reason for you to break them apart. Now it’s your turn.”
Haejun nodded slowly.
“You just have to provoke Chairman Cha well.”
If Taeyeon’s actions lead to a conclusion, all you need to do is casually drop a few words next to Dojun about whether it’s okay to keep such a woman by his side.
Then, divorce talk will come up, and Dojun will naturally move away from the position of the successor that Chairman Cha wants.
“Now, have another drink.”
Pour and drink.
The atmosphere of laughter and relaxation continued to deepen.
It was a day that seemed perfect as if the world favored Taejin and Haejun.

The head of security, the head of auditing, and the head of promotion gathered for a briefing.
The head of security, seeing Taeyeon sitting on one side of the spacious meeting room, paused the briefing for a moment.
“Why is that?”
“I think Deputy Jin shouldn’t hear the story we have to tell from now on.”
“Why? Is the computer that leaked the information Deputy Jin’s?”
“Yes? Oh, yes, that’s correct.”
Unlike the surprised head of security, Dojun seemed too calm.
Seeing Taeyeon, who didn’t know what to do, trying to get up, Dojun spoke gently.
“Deputy Jin, sit.”
And he continued explaining why he made that decision.

“If it’s true that the information leaked from Deputy Jin’s computer. It’s right to hear Deputy Jin’s opinion as well.”
There was no doubt in Dojun’s eyes as he spoke those words.
“Now, please continue.”
Unable to do anything else, the head of security continued the briefing.
“At around 6:10 PM from Deputy Jin’s computer, an email was sent under the account of the ○○ Food representative.”
Then, on the screen, an email sent by Taeyeon, with the contents recorded exactly as she sent to the promotion manager, was displayed.
“Uh…”
Coincidentally, the email was exactly the same as the one Taeyeon sent to the promotion manager.
“The detailed contents, release date, and specific information have been recorded as transmitted to the ○○ Food representative.”
Even if you blinked, it was still the email sent from Taeyeon’s account.

Turning his head slowly, Dojun asked Taeyeon.
“Deputy Jin, by any chance, have you ever told your computer password to someone?”
When male lead is the homewrecker
“I know she doesn’t love him.”
I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!
The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.
Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.
The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.
I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.
There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.
For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.
I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.
