Dojun was firm, as if there was no way he could just let it go.
“Now, you and your sister won’t cross paths much.”
“Do you want to press charges?”
“Yes…”
Dojun looked slightly puzzled, as if he couldn’t understand.
“If we get involved in such family issues for no reason, there could be a smell in the media.”
Taeyeon spoke quietly.
“Besides, it could be awkward if KK Group gets involved.”
Even in this situation, Taeyeon was worried about Dojun.
“It’s okay. From now on, I will never meet your sister alone.”

“Can we just let it go?”
“Yes. I would prefer that.”
“Sigh.”
Dojun let out a short sigh.
“I’ll listen since you want it. However, I hope you understand that I might change my mind at any time.”
“I understand. Thank you, Dojun.”
“I’ll give you a ride to your place later.”
“No, please go directly to the company. I’ll take a bus after you drop me off on the main road.”
Dojun had a resolute expression, indicating that it wouldn’t be acceptable.
“I need to stop by the mart briefly to buy some things.”
“I’ll instruct Secretary Choi.”

“Oh, that’s… it’s women’s products.”
“Hmm, I see.”
“Yes. I’ll buy it at a nearby mart while taking a walk.”
“Alright then.”
Dojun smiled at Taeyeon and disappeared into the busy bathroom.
Swoosh—
While hearing the sound of flowing water, Taeyeon knelt down and buried her face.
If this matter were exploited by the media, not only Cha Shin Yeoop but also KK Group would be involved. In that case, Dojun’s image could be tarnished. That was something she couldn’t overlook, so she quietly let it go.
There was another reason she asked not to sue Taejin.
“If Dojun decides to divorce me…”

As Taehjin said, she would have to see her family more frequently.
She made the request because she was worried about that time.
After staring at the space where Dojun had been lying for a while, Taeyeon left the bedroom to prepare for leaving.

KK Food Headquarters.
The only ones working on the weekend were Dojun and Secretary Choi.
“I apologize for calling while you were with Samo-nim.”
“No, it was something that would be awkward if heard together.”
Although there was some backlog, there was a separate reason for coming to the company.
Secretary Choi showed Dojun the documents she had organized all night on her tablet.

As Dojun flipped through the documents, his face subtly hardened.
“As expected, Park Director revealed himself at the scene yesterday, as you anticipated.”
“Indeed.”
Park Director used to be Haehjun’s secretary.
If Park Director took these photos, it meant Haehjun directed everything.
“It seemed like Haehjun had a grudge against me.”
Although he had expected it, receiving the report didn’t make him feel good.
“If I had been there yesterday, I would have found out that Jin Taejin had been chasing her.”
“Probably.”
Now it was urgent to figure out how Haehjun would respond.

“And here’s the information about the relationship between the instructed Chae Silak and Jin Taejin.”
Dojun looked at the pictures of Taejin’s SNS that captured their relationship.
“Were they lovers?”
“Yes. It’s presumed so from the comments Chae Silak left on SNS.”
“This woman is really…”
Unnecessarily diligent.
Although he wanted to criticize, she was Taeyeon’s sister, so he swallowed the words.
“What should we do about Chae Silak?”
There was an immediate way to call her and ask, but for now, there was no justification for that.
It seemed like she was quietly conveying Taeyeon’s story to Taejin, but it was all circumstantial, and there was no concrete evidence.

“For now, we need to observe.”
“I understand.”
Why are there so many people around who can’t leave Taeyeon alone, feeling restless?
“Manager, how should we proceed with Jin Taejin’s lawsuit?”
“That’s a tough one.”
Dojun hesitated for a moment before speaking.
“My wife doesn’t want things to get noisy with a lawsuit.”
“I see.”
“But I can’t just forgive and forget easily.”
Dojun spoke with a chilling tone, pulling up his lips to an alarming extent.
“There was something mentioned before, wasn’t there?”

“Related to Jin Taejin? Yes, that’s correct.”
“Check the facts on that and see if there’s anything else that could be used to tarnish his reputation.”
Secretary Choi smiled confidently.
Dojun handed the tablet PC, which contained the received report, back to Secretary Choi.
“Make sure that information doesn’t leak.”
“Understood.”
Dojun stood up as if the matter were settled.
“Oh, Manager. There are still documents you need to review…”
“Bring them. I’ll look at them at home.”
“Understood.”

This was also a significant change.
Dojun was the type to bring work home, even if he had to stay up all night at the company. However, since getting closer to Taeyeon, he had completely changed.
Secretary Choi handed Dojun the neatly printed documents for his convenience.
“Have a good weekend, Secretary Choi.”
“I hope you take it easy with work and spend some quality time with Samo-nim.”
“That’s the plan.”
He smiled at Secretary Choi, looking relaxed, something rare for his usually stern face.
Since meeting Taeyeon, one of the things that had changed about him was the appearance of a bright smile on his always rigid face.
Dojun drove his car quickly.
Thinking about Taeyeon waiting for him, every moment wasted on the road felt like a great loss.

In the midst of driving, a pleasant ringtone echoed in Dojun’s car.
Checking the caller, Dojun answered the phone with a smile.
When male lead is the homewrecker
“I know she doesn’t love him.”
I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!
The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.
Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.
The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.
I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.
There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.
For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.
I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.
Here’s the story synopsis:
