Lee Jun’s eyes widened. He stood frozen in surprise, while Eun Ha stared intently at him.

Heavy raindrops relentlessly pounded their faces, shoulders, and chests as the two remained silent for a long time.

And at the end of that silence, Lee Jun slowly approached Eun Ha.

“No, it’s a little different.”

Lee Jun’s voice was so quiet it seemed it might be swallowed up by the rain at any moment. Yet, for some reason, it reached Eun Ha’s ears with perfect clarity.

“You’re my everything.”

His neatly swept bangs, soaked by the rain, drooped downward. Only the sight of wet strands dripping water was visible—his expression remained hidden.

“I’m scared—scared I’ll lose everything again, scared I’ll stand helplessly and watch you disappear right before my eyes for the second time.”

Lee Jun took off the jacket he was wearing and held it over Eun Ha’s head like an umbrella.

The small shadow cast by the jacket enveloped Eun Ha’s vision. All she could see was Lee Jun’s white shirt, soaked and clinging to his body.

When Eun Ha lifted her gaze slightly, her eyes met Lee Jun’s, who had ducked his head under the jacket’s shelter.

Their faces were close. The moment she felt his warm breath brush against her nose, Eun Ha reflexively held her breath.

At a distance where their lips might touch with just the slightest movement, his damp lips parted.

“Cha Eun Ha, you’re more precious to me than I am to myself.”

His unique scent remained unmistakable even amidst the downpour. Though he surely hadn’t used any ability on her, Eun Ha felt as if enchanted—unable to move even a single finger.
