Though she’d pretended otherwise, she must have tensed her shoulders quite a bit—the trapezius muscles connecting to her neck felt stiff. As Eun Ha rotated her shoulders, she suddenly stopped and lifted her head.

She hadn’t noticed earlier due to the lack of time, but Ethan, who should have been sitting quietly in the waiting room, was nowhere to be seen. He couldn’t have gotten lost or gotten into an accident, could he? An ominous feeling crept over her.
