The Admiral, a cold perfectionist who never sent a warm look or sincerely smiled at anyone, was said to be like that.
Was he like that in front of her only because Scathach had really become the Admiral’s courtesan?
After the elite soldiers who had gone to Crom Hald returned without a harvest, and the story of Scathach and the Admiral disappearing was heard, Lugard initially seriously wondered if the Admiral had gone mad and eloped with Scathach in the middle of the night.
However, Lugard’s expectation was splendidly wrong, and the Admiral who returned with Scathach as a trophy, beautifully adorned at his side, had her stay in his barracks.
Lugard often killed time in front of the barracks when patrolling at night.
One day, the Admiral came out of the barracks without wearing anything on his top. The sculpted muscles shone in the moonlight, like statues crafted with blood and sweat by church artists.
The Admiral’s careless red eyes turned towards Lugard, who was staring at him, lost in thought.
The lowered gaze and the muscles of his upper body, drenched in sweat and vibrating, made it clear why everyone admired and praised the Admiral so much.
“Don’t you check the password?”
A dull sound, as if his throat was slightly stuck, flowed out from the Admiral’s red lips.
Even without checking the password, there could be no other man like the Admiral.
Moreover, seeing the nearly naked man and his heatengulfed body, Lugard seemed to understand what had happened in the barracks, and his face flushed with heat for a moment.
While Lugard said nothing, the Admiral chuckled and thrust the gun barrel into the middle of Lugard’s forehead.
Lugard didn’t know when he drew the gun or where it came from, but suddenly the sensation of the cold iron touching his forehead turned him pale.
“Panetella.”
Fear came, thinking that if he did not respond to the Admiral who was checking the password himself, a hole might really be shot in his head.
“Ah, cow……!”
As it came out, the gun returned to its place before Lugard could even check.
“Go on. Stop dawdling.”
The Admiral seemed much more relaxed than when he had trapped Scathach in his arms in front of the warehouse. Scathach was his now, so everything else seemed to be out of interest, as if it was bothersome.
Afterwards, Lugard felt a void in his heart when he occasionally saw the Admiral and Scathach walking around the garrison with Nix. Scathach looked fairly good by that man’s side. Pretty, too.
Then, I became the driver for the vehicle heading to Lindkorm on Lacan’s order, found out that Scáthach was pregnant with the admiral’s child, and learned that she wanted to run away from it.
Maybe the child inside Scáthach’s womb is another Lugard.
So, if the father is the one who saved the life of a mother who had to live as someone’s concubine…
I didn’t have the grand wish to become the beautiful savior of Scáthach. If someone desperately needed help, if they didn’t want to live as a concubine, just like my mother.
Shouldn’t I help?
(This is a time separator.)
Emperor Rudraeger eventually surrendered to Admiral Blahnath.
The Teshia Empire, burdened with immense reparations, had no choice but to accept the condition of giving up all of the old Evern Kingdom’s territory, extending to Even Baher[Dash]Crom Hald[Dash]Isenak.
If they didn’t, they faced being pushed back to the capital by the armored Parsard Empire troops.
However, Cassard tapped the table with his long finger as if sensing something. A slight variable had emerged.
The day they decided to draft the formal treaty, including the content related to territorial abandonment and holding defeat responsibility, Emperor Rudraeger was found dead in the Teshia Empire’s temporary barracks.
Rumors spread that the prideful Emperor Rudraeger had committed suicide, but what was true didn’t matter.
The emperor was dead, so Prince Allen simply needed a bit of time to rectify the situation and receive the transfer of authority.
Cassard personally checked the letters that the courier brought to Crom Hald. Comfort letters for the triumphant, highspirited Imperial forces, thankyou letters for the finallyreceived victory report, arrived in bulk.
It took time to inspect them all as there were more than usual, but Scáthach’s letter was not among them.
Though he didn’t ask for her to write, he wondered if she had arrived safely, how her life in Conwell was.
The strange thing was that Lacan didn’t send any report either. He wanted to send someone to Conwell, but they had to march together to Corb soon, so he couldn’t spare the soldiers.
No one would want to miss that place of glory, not even one person.
He even considered asking Scáthach’s friend, a nurse, but it was difficult to take out medical personnel as they were busy tending to the injured from the last battle.
The medical teams were divided between Even Baher and Crom Hald, and there were not enough hands.
Male lead is a Destined Young Husband (Female-dominant)
One-sentence summary: Wife-master, listen to my explanation!
Li Ruantang, a young lady from a prestigious family, stumbled and fell. When she woke up, she saw a noble and beautiful young man sitting by her bedside, wiping away tears.
The young master had slightly reddened eyes, and his every move exuded charm.
The sight made Li Ruantang’s eyes hot and her heart flutter. After all, she had made a bet with the young master Meng from the neighboring family. If she couldn’t marry a husband before the end of the year, she would have to admit defeat and give up the jade she had worked so hard to obtain.
Outside the window, the flowers were in full bloom.
Rather than losing the bet, the jade, and her face, Li Ruantang calculated that it would be better to seek marriage with the young master in front of her, killing three birds with one stone.
…
Meng Jun never thought that an accident during a spring outing would lead to them rolling down a cliff and into a river, yet still survive.
Now they were trapped in an unknown village, and Meng Jun had overheard that the family who had rescued them had their own intentions.
After all, it was Li Ruantang who had lost her mind and sought marriage first. He was only trying to protect himself!
Glancing at Li Ruantang, who was listing her own merits, the young husband’s voice softened, and he blushed as he lied, “W-wife-master, Wife-master, don’t you remember me?”
The young husband’s voice was clear and handsome, coaxing Li Ruantang’s heart to be soft and sweet, and she spared no effort to protect him.
It wasn’t until they returned to the capital that Li Ruantang suddenly remembered.
When they had fallen off the cliff, in order not to implicate Wei Yunruo, whom he secretly admired, the young husband had instead pulled her, who was slightly farther away, down the cliff with him…
Short summary by Yuushi L: Initially, the male lead (ML) liked another girl, while the female lead (FL) liked the ML. Both fell off a cliff. The FL temporarily lost her memory, and the ML, fearing others might take advantage of him, claimed FL was his wife while they were staying in a village. Later, when they returned home, the FL regained her memories and remembered that the ML liked someone else, so she kept her distance from him. However, during their time living together in the countryside, the ML’s view of the FL had completely changed. From this point, his pursuit of the FL begins.
