Sungwon was nearly in a festive mood due to the themed hotel bidding project. Thus, even the executive meeting—ostensibly filled only with Seo Rin’s adversaries—had a surprisingly pleasant atmosphere.

“You really did an excellent job this time. You handled everything alone, from planning to bidding.”

Even President Baek didn’t hold back his praise. At that, the board members—who’d been carefully watching her every move since the interim shareholders’ meeting—each chimed in one after another.

“Ha! The president’s absolutely right. How could you possibly push through such a massive project entirely on your own from start to finish?”

“Exactly!”

Yet Seo Rin remained unmoved by their honeyed compliments.

“It wasn’t just me. I did it together with my team. But I’ll gladly accept your congratulations.”

“Quite right. We can’t ignore the team’s contribution—it’s never a one-person job. I’ve already personally authorized a team dinner for them today.”

“Thank you.”

After finishing her greeting and rising from her seat, the others immediately stood up as well.

Walking toward the elevator after leaving the conference room—even though the meeting mood had been unusually good—the board members apparently didn’t feel bold enough to ride the same elevator as President Baek and Seo Rin.

“Please go ahead. We’ll take the next one.”

Despite ample space, not a single person stepped inside. But Seo Rin had no intention of forcing anyone who clearly wanted to avoid her.

“You’re heading back to your office, right?”

“Yes.”
