“When are you coming? We’re starting now.”

Hearing the emcee’s voice, Seo Rin anxiously sent a message to Tae Joon. The emergency shareholders’ meeting had already begun, yet he still hadn’t shown up.

This was highly uncharacteristic of Kang Tae Joon, who was always punctual.

“He said he wouldn’t be late.”

A quiet complaint slipped out before she even realized it. Just then, a message arrived from him.

“Don’t worry. I’ll be there on time.”

“But you’re already late, aren’t you?”

Her blood pressure rising silently, she typed faster and her fingers tightened.

“I told you not to worry. They absolutely can’t start that meeting without me. So I won’t be late—ever.”

Though she wondered what kind of logic that was, after hearing the emcee announce they’d delay proceedings by about ten minutes, she couldn’t help but let out a hollow laugh.

Tae Joon was deliberately late—specifically to make President Baek anxious.

She realized this from President Baek, who until now had seemed completely at ease but kept glancing nervously at The MG’s conspicuously empty seat.

Kang Tae Joon truly was extraordinary—to toy so effortlessly with President Baek like that.

But moments later, the door opened and So Dam appeared, followed immediately by Tae Joon.

Today, it seemed as though a radiant halo shone behind him as he walked in.
