Not to gain your acknowledgment but for myself, and for the sake of the company, I will make this project a success.
Minhyeong parked the car in front of H Building, where the final evaluation of the hotel site bidding was taking place.
Director Yoon Seokjin of Pharao had already entered the building. However, not seeing Seorin’s figure, Minhyeong bit his lower lip.
Seorin, who was always punctual, tended to appear at the meeting place first.
Of course, there was still plenty of time, but it occurred to him that arriving later than Director Yoon Seokjin might be a good sign.
“Yeah. She probably can’t be okay even after seeing that picture. If it’s someone you trusted, how could it be okay?”
The more you trust, and the deeper the expectations and affection for that person, the greater the impact Seorin received.
Minhyeong came today to face that troubled face.
How could he miss such a good sight?
However, at that moment, a familiar car pulled in, and Manager Park got out.
“Ha, you’re here!”

Minhyeong sat in the driver’s seat, focusing all his attention on observing every detail of Baek Seorin’s face, which was troubled by worries.
Manager Park opened the back door, and finally, Seorin got out.
But what’s this?
As Seorin stepped out of the car, she looked just like usual. No, her neatly tied black hair and black suit seemed even more charismatic. Moreover, her trademark expressionless face.
Minhyeong was perplexed by her flawless appearance. It wasn’t the picture he had expected.
“What? Why do you look perfectly fine?”
Faced with the unexpected situation, Minhyeong’s face crumpled in dismay.
“Didn’t you receive the photo?”
No, that couldn’t be. She clearly mentioned leaving it in front of her house.
“No. I’m just pretending to be okay. It’s all because of that pathetic pride of mine.”

He wanted to believe that. However, from that moment, Minhyeong started feeling uneasy for no reason.
As the large meeting room door closed, the presentation finally began. Since it was planned for Sungwon to go first before Pharao, Yoon Seokjin sat leisurely, taking his time.
Pharao invested a tremendous amount of money to use this project as a stepping stone for a leap to another level. Therefore, despite everything else, they had pride that they would not lose to Sungwon in terms of splendor.
Except for the grandeur in the hotel, there would be nothing else.
Seorin stood silently in the middle of the quiet meeting room, lowering the brightness of the lights to better see the prepared materials.
And finally, a large screen displayed the video.
“The hotel we prepared this time at Sungwon is not just a simple hotel.”
A calm but piercing voice resonated through the quiet meeting room. It was a diction that made one listen even if they didn’t want to.
“Our Hanok hotel. We don’t raise the building to more than seven floors, preserving the concept of traditional Korean houses. However, since the hotel site is high, there should be no problem securing a sufficient view without the need for a high-rise building.”
On the screen that Seorin displayed, the exterior of a beautiful Hanok hotel, as if combining a Joseon-era house with a modern building, appeared.

“The hotel building consists of five separate pavilions. There are accommodations in Jin, Sun, Mi, a dining facility in Okbin-gwan, and a cultural experience facility in Myeongwol-gwan. Jin, Sun, Mi have each been designed and serviced differently according to their themes, allowing customers to choose according to their preferences. Also, Okbin-gwan…”
Everyone was captivated by her voice.
Despite being just an image video, Sungwon’s ambitious presentation of the Hanok hotel immediately stole everyone’s attention. It felt like stepping into a fairy-tale world reminiscent of Mureung Dowon.
Exiting the hotel, instead of modern buildings, there were pavilions and small ponds to soothe the weary spirit. In Okbin Hall, one could taste traditional Korean cuisine.
And that’s not all. Moving to Myeongwol Hall, one could experience traditional Korean performances and play culture.
The performances were also magnificent.
In the hotel, both regular performance teams and a special team created by Sungwon were planned to operate together.
It felt like seeing the Joseon era from 500 years ago, transcending space and time. Of course, the splendor might differ from the past Joseon, but it was a theme space that could be appealing enough for both foreigners and Koreans.
Literally, it was a well-utilized proposal that maximized the concept of a theme hotel.
Director Yoon listened to Seorin’s unwavering voice, gripping the hand under the table with strength. It seemed the situation was flowing in an unexpected direction.
However, since he had no speaking rights, there was nothing else he could do but sit there. But then, someone among the judges unexpectedly asked a question.

When male lead is the homewrecker
“I know she doesn’t love him.”
I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!
The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.
Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.
The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.
I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.
There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.
For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.
I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.
Here’s the story synopsis:
