Benjamin nodded obediently at Jacqueline’s unusually stiff tone. Then he glanced again between her and his uncle.

For some reason, a cold draft seemed to sweep across the dining table today. Benjamin, recalling that this had been the case ever since they returned from the banquet, reached for a piece of bread as soon as Windsor took one.
