‘His skin must be scorching—it’s got to sting.’

Burning skin would hurt quite a bit, yet he showed no sign of discomfort.

I casually suggested he go back and wash with cold water. Seeing him flustered, lowering his head to sniff himself, I burst out laughing. After laughing so hard my abs ached, I wiped my eyes and said,

“I didn’t mean it like that—I meant you should cool down with cold water and apply some ointment because your skin looks sunburnt.”

“…Is that so.”
