And that person was most likely someone connected to the ducal family, someone who could freely come and go from the mansion.

I let out a deep sigh and looked at Edmund, still lost in grave thought.

His darkened eyes wandered through empty space. I could keenly feel it—how infuriating and painful this must be for him, and how desperately he must want to catch the demon.
