Life After Divorce (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 112
The dining hall from which Etricia had vanished was utterly silent.
Edmund sat before an empty chair, running his fingers roughly through his hair and letting out a deep sigh. He was clearly furious. “Damn it,” he muttered under his breath.
He could guess the reason. It was his own words—spoken as if scolding the very woman who had saved his life. Yet thoughtful Etricia couldn’t possibly have missed the fact that those words were really aimed at himself.
‘Or is there another reason?’
Rubbing his forehead with an uneasy expression, he felt as distant from that past self—the one who once relished Etricia’s jealousy—as if ages had passed.
Just then, Lirien spoke, pouting as she cut into her meat.
“I think I understand why Lady Etricia is angry.”
At those words, Edmund’s eyelids twitched. Slowly lifting his head, he looked at Lirien—his eyes clearly asking how she could possibly know something he didn’t. Immediately, the twin brothers standing nearby chimed in agreement.
“I understand as well.”
“So do I.”
Beside them, Mari cautiously raised her hand.
“I’m sorry to say… I do too.”
Edmund felt a strange sense of déjà vu—back then, no one had known, but now everyone seemed to know except him. They then openly whispered among themselves, giving him pointed looks.
“Don’t you realize how worried Lady Etricia was? She was so hurt you wouldn’t even show any sign of regret.”
“I saw her turn away and wipe away tears.”

Male lead fell into her trap — and shattered when she walked away
This is also on my reread list!
This one is a slow burn, but when it burns, it burns hard.
Definitely worth a read, y’all!

The story follows a thousand-year-old seductive spirit who, on a bet, sets out to charm the male lead—a once-promising but unfortunate cultivator.
But just when she succeeds in making him fall for her, she heartlessly leaves, driving him to madness.
Determined to find her at all costs, he captures her, keeping her by his side no matter what, even if she hates him.
I love this kind of trope—I enjoy watching the male lead suffer in agony.
The ending drags a bit with unnecessary filler, but that’s fine.
As long as I enjoy the beginning, I’m good.
