Interest Compounds on Revenge (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 71
Terren is locked in a psychological battle with Allen over the Bertan railway project tender.
His hired agents, though unarmed, competed daily with Allen’s side over bid prices.
As a result, other bidders had long since dropped out, and newspapers splashed sensational front-page headlines about the two-way showdown between Duke Terren Courtois and President Allen MacDowell.
“Increase the bid price by 20% above Allen’s offer.”
“Understood.”
“However, add the condition that we demand exclusive rights to the entire Bertan railway project.”
“That condition has already been proposed by MacDowell Company as well.”
“Is that so?”
Terren tapped his fingers on the table, lost in thought. He’d never had the slightest intention of entering the railway business in the first place.
Indeed, that mindset hadn’t changed even now. But since he’d decided to compete, he ought to gain something from it.
“Attach a clause granting us exclusive import rights to Bertan’s porcelain and silk. Then tell them we’ll raise our bid by 30%.”
Luke chuckled at Terren’s condition. Just imagining how furious Allen would be was immensely satisfying. At that moment, another subordinate delivered crucial intelligence.
“It seems President MacDowell plans to import large quantities of cotton textiles. He intends to sell them cheaply across multiple continental markets.”
“Cotton textiles are hopeless. Wait and see—silk will sell better than cotton.”
Every nation on the continent had not just one or two textile mills weaving cotton.

My Step-brother Is Obsessed With Me (Female-dominant)
A gentle female protagonist vs pitiful in the early stage, and a sick male protagonist in the later stage
Cheng Songer transmigrated into the body of a vicious cannon fodder female supporting character with the same name as her in a female-dominant novel.
In the original story, the cannon fodder female supporting character was inhumane, committing domestic violence, gambling excessively, being lustful, and even wanting to sell her stepbrother to a brothel for money.
As luck would have it, she just happened to transmigrate at this time.
Seeing Cheng Qingzhi biting his lip, enduring the tears in his eyes, looking pitiful, her heart softened.
She stuffed the money back into the Madam’s hand and reached out to him.
“Brother, come home with me.”

I don’t understand, if she is trying to save the twins, why is she putting a gun to her head? She needs to be alive for the twins to survive.
This is sounding less like a punishment and more like a privilege.
Sometimes this novel’s inability to reflect anything close to realism frustrates me. Let’s reward arson and attempted murder! (Can’t help but point out the lack of creativity with Mr. Baker’s name.)
