Interest Compounds on Revenge (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 46
Lea returned to the hotel as soon as the banquet ended.
Allen seemed eager to spend more time together, but she didn’t even give him a chance to speak.
Yet, why did she miss Terren so much?
After spending a few days in Brassel, she felt bone-deep loneliness. She was still resentful toward him, yet apart from that, she missed him terribly.
“Miss, why did you accept the dress order?”
“Pauline, when doing business, personal feelings must be set aside. You saw it yourself—Miss Rivette is stunningly beautiful, comes from a wealthy family, and has a very high chance of being chosen as Crown Princess.”
“Well, if she’s chosen, it’ll benefit us.”
“Exactly. But I don’t intend to take orders only from Miss Rivette.”
“Huh?”
This was an area she knew better than anyone else.
All the noble young ladies of Brassel would surely participate in the selection. And it was up to her efforts to decide which among them would become the Crown Princess.
It might seem like unwarranted confidence, but after all, the selection was nothing more than a game of reading people’s intentions.
The outcome would depend on who understood the Crown Prince’s tastes best and which young lady stood out the most.
“Let’s return tomorrow, Pauline.”
“Yes! Do you miss Chainer?”

My Step-brother Is Obsessed With Me (Female-dominant)
A gentle female protagonist vs pitiful in the early stage, and a sick male protagonist in the later stage
Cheng Songer transmigrated into the body of a vicious cannon fodder female supporting character with the same name as her in a female-dominant novel.
In the original story, the cannon fodder female supporting character was inhumane, committing domestic violence, gambling excessively, being lustful, and even wanting to sell her stepbrother to a brothel for money.
As luck would have it, she just happened to transmigrate at this time.
Seeing Cheng Qingzhi biting his lip, enduring the tears in his eyes, looking pitiful, her heart softened.
She stuffed the money back into the Madam’s hand and reached out to him.
“Brother, come home with me.”

I don’t understand, if she is trying to save the twins, why is she putting a gun to her head? She needs to be alive for the twins to survive.
This is sounding less like a punishment and more like a privilege.
Sometimes this novel’s inability to reflect anything close to realism frustrates me. Let’s reward arson and attempted murder! (Can’t help but point out the lack of creativity with Mr. Baker’s name.)
