Interest Compounds on Revenge (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 34
When Lea woke up, she was in Terren’s arms. She was amazed at her own boldness for having slept soundly in his embrace until morning.
Normally, in such a situation, one’s heart should race so much that sleep becomes impossible, right?
“Awake already?”
Terren’s voice, husky from deep slumber, sounded pleasant to her ears.
“Did you… sleep well?”

“Grace, I have something to ask you.”
“What is it?”
“Am I really a man to you?”
“Of… of course.”
She knew all too well what he meant by that question.

I don’t understand, if she is trying to save the twins, why is she putting a gun to her head? She needs to be alive for the twins to survive.
This is sounding less like a punishment and more like a privilege.
Sometimes this novel’s inability to reflect anything close to realism frustrates me. Let’s reward arson and attempted murder! (Can’t help but point out the lack of creativity with Mr. Baker’s name.)
