Interest Compounds on Revenge (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 162
Terren received the hospitality of the King of Graymen.
For a secluded island nation rarely visited by outsiders—let alone famous ones—it was undeniably a joyous occasion that the renowned Duke Courtois from the continent had come to visit, and even arranged a three-day fireworks display at Winds Lake Park.
“Thanks to you, Duke, the citizens of Winds finally have some entertainment after a long while.”
The king could barely contain his excitement. However, Terren’s expression remained gloomy throughout.
“In truth, I came to Graymen to find my fiancée. She must be angry with me—why else would she hide herself away so thoroughly here?”
“So that’s why you’re putting on fireworks? Quite romantic of you.”
The king was utterly startled by Terren’s words.
In truth, fireworks displays were extremely expensive events—something even he, as King of Graymen, had never managed to hold during his reign.
“Your Majesty, I… I’m afraid I’d be terribly disappointed if, after going to such lengths as arranging fireworks, I still couldn’t meet my fiancée.”
Upon hearing Terren’s words, Luke sighed inwardly—it was a subtle yet unmistakable form of pressure disguised as a lament.
“Hmm, I’ll make it mandatory for not only Winds citizens but also temporary residents to attend the Winds Lake Park event.”
“What method will you use?”
Terren, hands clasped behind his back, approached the king and tilted his head inquisitively.
“We’ll hold a vote—everyone will show up then.”
“A vote? Truly, Your Majesty is most astute.”

Male lead fell into her trap — and shattered when she walked away
This is also on my reread list!
This one is a slow burn, but when it burns, it burns hard.
Definitely worth a read, y’all!

The story follows a thousand-year-old seductive spirit who, on a bet, sets out to charm the male lead—a once-promising but unfortunate cultivator.
But just when she succeeds in making him fall for her, she heartlessly leaves, driving him to madness.
Determined to find her at all costs, he captures her, keeping her by his side no matter what, even if she hates him.
I love this kind of trope—I enjoy watching the male lead suffer in agony.
The ending drags a bit with unnecessary filler, but that’s fine.
As long as I enjoy the beginning, I’m good.

I don’t understand, if she is trying to save the twins, why is she putting a gun to her head? She needs to be alive for the twins to survive.
This is sounding less like a punishment and more like a privilege.
Sometimes this novel’s inability to reflect anything close to realism frustrates me. Let’s reward arson and attempted murder! (Can’t help but point out the lack of creativity with Mr. Baker’s name.)
