Interest Compounds on Revenge (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 137
Terren felt suffocated by Lea’s desperate determination for a child—knowing full well she could conceive but not carry to term.
“I’ve said it time and again: your health matters more to me than anything. We don’t need a child.”
“Does Terren not want our child?”
“I do, but not as much as I want you safe.”
The same question and answer repeated endlessly.
He knew exactly what Terren worried about. Yet giving up without trying her utmost was simply unthinkable.
“I will definitely give birth to this child.”
Lea’s resolve was unwavering.
Terren couldn’t bring himself to reveal the truth to her—doing so would utterly shatter her soul.
“Alright.”
“Does that mean Terren gives his permission?”
“Well… once your health improves a bit more, then…”
Lea pulled Terren into another tight embrace.
She’d feared he might flatly refuse; his hopeful words, however tentative, filled her with immense gratitude.
“By the way, I have something to tell you.”

Male lead fell into her trap — and shattered when she walked away
This is also on my reread list!
This one is a slow burn, but when it burns, it burns hard.
Definitely worth a read, y’all!

The story follows a thousand-year-old seductive spirit who, on a bet, sets out to charm the male lead—a once-promising but unfortunate cultivator.
But just when she succeeds in making him fall for her, she heartlessly leaves, driving him to madness.
Determined to find her at all costs, he captures her, keeping her by his side no matter what, even if she hates him.
I love this kind of trope—I enjoy watching the male lead suffer in agony.
The ending drags a bit with unnecessary filler, but that’s fine.
As long as I enjoy the beginning, I’m good.

I don’t understand, if she is trying to save the twins, why is she putting a gun to her head? She needs to be alive for the twins to survive.
This is sounding less like a punishment and more like a privilege.
Sometimes this novel’s inability to reflect anything close to realism frustrates me. Let’s reward arson and attempted murder! (Can’t help but point out the lack of creativity with Mr. Baker’s name.)
