Interest Compounds on Revenge (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 114
Lea felt all the strength drain from her body. As she lay down on the bed, she didn’t even have the energy to twitch a finger.
“The young lady was in perfect health…”
Sarah’s face was filled with worry. But she immediately realized how foolish her question had been.
It wasn’t Lea’s physical body anymore.
“I’m just grateful… to be alive.”
Lea barely moved her pale lips to utter the words.
At her words, Sarah burst into tears.
‘How utterly unjust this must have been for her…!’
Only then did Sarah break down in sobs, overwhelmed by the realization that her own sins were unfathomably great.
Afraid Lea might see her crying, she turned her back and wiped away her tears.
‘What on earth have I done?’
Why did Lea have to live through someone else’s body, and why must she herself face threats to her life?
She clearly knew how such misfortune had befallen both Lea and herself—despite having lacked for nothing—but she couldn’t recall the details.
All she knew was that she’d awakened to find herself cast into the heart of hell. Regretting and blaming herself now was pointless; it was already too late.
“Sarah… I’m sleepy.”

Male lead is a Love-Obsessed Merman
When he discovers she has gone, he risks everything to pursue her on land, enduring agonizing pain to transform his tail into human legs…

One-line summary: Male lead chases female lead. The male lead’s love is a bit sick, an invincible love brain.
Synopsis
During a voyage at sea, Jiang Yang accidentally captures a merman.
Servant: I heard that mermen are fierce and brutal.
Jiang Yang looks at the merman obediently rubbing her palm like a puppy: “You call this fierce and brutal?”
Servant: I heard that mermen have no human nature.
Jiang Yang looks at the merman with wet puppy eyes, obsessively calling her ‘A Yang’ like a childish infant: “You call this having no human nature?”
With great difficulty, she releases the merman back into the sea and returns to shore.
Who would have thought that in less than half a month, the merman, who should have been freely wandering in the South China Sea, would shed his scales, endure the pain of losing his tail, transform into human legs, and come ashore to find her?
He kneels at her feet, rubbing her palm, with merman tears rolling down: “A Yang, don’t abandon me.”

I don’t understand, if she is trying to save the twins, why is she putting a gun to her head? She needs to be alive for the twins to survive.
This is sounding less like a punishment and more like a privilege.
Sometimes this novel’s inability to reflect anything close to realism frustrates me. Let’s reward arson and attempted murder! (Can’t help but point out the lack of creativity with Mr. Baker’s name.)
