Interest Compounds on Revenge (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 112
Lea took a step toward Sarah, her gun still aimed.
“You said poison was your talisman. That no matter how hard it got, you’d endure with all your might.”
“W-who are you?”
Sarah asked, stepping back in fear.
“Still don’t recognize me? Then I’ll tell you one more thing. Every summer, we went down to the villa. There was fine clay there, so we’d sneak cookie cutters from the kitchen and play house.”
“My goodness!”
Sarah sank to the ground right where she stood.
She’d heard countless times that the world was full of bizarre events science couldn’t explain.
Yet even after hearing it with her own ears and seeing it with her own eyes, she couldn’t believe it.
She tried to find even a single falsehood in what the woman said, but everything Grace claimed was true.
“I thought that even if the whole world turned its back on our family, at least you, Sarah, would believe in me. But the one who led the charge in killing me and Father was you—the very person I trusted and relied on most.”
Tears fell steadily from Lea’s eyes as she spoke with a calm face. Her anguish and her tears moved as if they were separate entities.
“H-how can this be? Are you really Miss Lea?”
Sarah lowered the hand she’d been covering her mouth with and asked.
“Yes, I am Lea Hamilton. I died falling off a cliff, and my body is buried right there.”

Male lead fell into her trap — and shattered when she walked away
This is also on my reread list!
This one is a slow burn, but when it burns, it burns hard.
Definitely worth a read, y’all!

The story follows a thousand-year-old seductive spirit who, on a bet, sets out to charm the male lead—a once-promising but unfortunate cultivator.
But just when she succeeds in making him fall for her, she heartlessly leaves, driving him to madness.
Determined to find her at all costs, he captures her, keeping her by his side no matter what, even if she hates him.
I love this kind of trope—I enjoy watching the male lead suffer in agony.
The ending drags a bit with unnecessary filler, but that’s fine.
As long as I enjoy the beginning, I’m good.

I don’t understand, if she is trying to save the twins, why is she putting a gun to her head? She needs to be alive for the twins to survive.
This is sounding less like a punishment and more like a privilege.
Sometimes this novel’s inability to reflect anything close to realism frustrates me. Let’s reward arson and attempted murder! (Can’t help but point out the lack of creativity with Mr. Baker’s name.)
