“What an honor, to capture such beauty in my camera.”

“Thank you. But make sure this lace shawl stands out in the photo.”

Leah reiterated her request several times to the photographer.

“Miss, please sit on that chair.”

He pointed to a chair in front of a backdrop. Leah sat down gracefully.

Suddenly, the sound of several people approached.

Leah was startled. Terrun had appeared in the living room with Luke and James. And it wasn’t just them.

Terrun sat on a sofa behind the photographer, legs crossed, intently observing Grace.

Leah’s body tensed with nervousness.

‘Did he come here just to glare at me like that?’

While Luke and James looked on curiously, Terrun appeared as if he was her arch-enemy.

“Alright! I’m going to take the picture.”

The photographer covered himself with a black cloth and adjusted the camera’s focus.

Leah forced a strained smile, realizing too late that taking a natural photo in front of Terrun was impossible.

But then, the photographer stopped and walked toward Leah.

“Face this way, tilt your head back a bit more, and your shoulder…”

As he adjusted Leah’s posture, another hand roughly knocked his away.
“Don’t touch her carelessly.”

Terrun, seemingly appearing out of nowhere, grasped the photographer’s wrist, issuing a stern warning.

“It’s not like that. I was just adjusting her posture.”

Only then did Terrun release the photographer’s wrist. But that wasn’t the main issue.

Terrun seemed unable to control his anger, his hands on his hips and breathing heavily.

‘This is maddening.’

Leah was getting anxious. This way, they might not be able to take a proper picture. The photographer’s face was already turning red, seemingly worried about being unable to proceed.

“I’ll adjust her, just tell me what to do.”

Terrun, seemingly restraining his anger, spoke to the photographer. It looked like he was making a big effort to keep calm.

Still, Leah was displeased with his actions.

“Tilt your chin slightly to the left, straighten your shoulders, and please push your hair back so the lace is visible.”

Following the photographer’s instructions, Terrun adjusted Leah’s posture.

Despite his evident resentment, there was a surprising tenderness and meticulousness in his touch. He caressed her chin as if savoring its contour and gently brushed her hair back, lightly grazing her nape with the back of his hand.

Leah saw the desperate desire of a man in his face – a man who couldn’t take his eyes off her, satiating his longing with his eyes and touch.

Unknowingly, Leah trembled under his gentle touch.

“Alright, now I’ll take the picture.”

The photographer, satisfied with Leah’s adjusted posture, covered himself with the black cloth and energetically counted to three.

“How about the two of you take a picture together? For keepsake.”

The photographer’s unexpected suggestion startled both Terrun and Leah.

“No, that’s alright.”

As Leah stood up and waved her hands in denial, Terrun pulled her onto his lap.

“Take the picture.”

“Terrun, this is too embarrassing.”

Leah’s face turned red, but the photographer, Luke, and James welcomed the idea with applause.

Leah had to sit on his lap and awkwardly smile for the photo.

“James, let’s take pictures of all the Duke’s staff.”

“Yes? Understood, Your Grace.”

At Terrun’s command, the photographer’s mouth spread into a wide grin.

Terrun led Grace to his office. He seemed in a good mood, but instead, he briskly walked, holding her hand, without a word.

As soon as the door slammed shut, he released her hand.

“Have you forgotten, Grace Bisacc? That I am your guardian.”

“I know.”

“You know, yet you act without my permission?”

“I wasn’t just acting on impulse.”

“I warn you, your pictures will not be published in the newspaper. I won’t just watch as my woman’s face is sold nationwide.”

Leah trembled with anger at his presumption. If he had agreed to help, he should keep his promise.

She couldn’t understand why he was changing his words now. She had explained everything beforehand.

“I don’t need Terrun’s permission. My pictures will be published in the newspaper.”

Leah clenched her fists, defiantly standing up to him.

Wei Jing Mo: “…”
