In This Life, I'll Assist You (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 36
“Your Majesty, the imperial palace mages report they’ve found traces of enchantment on Cecilia. One is light, the other an extremely strong form of hypnosis,” said the Empress.
“…I see.”
The Emperor’s study, bathed in the fading light of dusk.
It was the Empress who spoke first.
The master of the study and his Empress, meeting here after a long absence, sat facing each other across a small table.
“What will you do? Can you still not forgive them?”
“What kind of hypnosis was it?”
“The first enchantment was so vile it made her forget even her own identity. The second is immensely powerful, yet its nature remains unknown. They suspect it tampered with memories, but even the mages couldn’t unravel it.”
The Emperor cast his gaze far away, beyond the window, toward the evening glow.
“Cecilia shall be exiled from the Empire. And the Baron shall be stripped of his title… Is this sufficient, Empress?”
“A merciful judgment, Your Majesty.”
“You are the only one to whom I have not shown mercy.”
“…”
“What brings you back after all these long years away?”
The Emperor asked. The Empress offered no reply.

This chapters sentences were really weird to read so maybe someone should proofread to verify. It was a lot of broken up words to complete a sentence. like they were talking on a radio.
