The conversation about honorifics confirmed that the story was indeed proceeding as in the original.

Honorifics are a basic requirement for nobility. Floria used them correctly, but the Queen, disliking everything about her, picked faults and eventually caused her to lose her voice.

‘That’s a relief. No need to worry.’

I felt reassured that the flow of the original story hadn’t changed and nodded to myself, focusing again on the Queen’s words.

“There must be no mistakes at the upcoming victory celebration of the First Prince. Every word and action of yours will reflect on my son Eric. Make sure to perfect your honorifics by then.”

“I will keep that in mind.”

“Given Eric’s naivety in choosing love over beneficial alliances, you must compensate for the flaws you bring to the prince.”

The Queen continuously sighed and reprimanded Floria. While reading the book, I empathized with Floria and despised the Queen, but now,

‘More scolding, more!’

I secretly cheered for the Queen. Though Floria pretended to be flustered, her cheeks twitching under the incessant nagging were too satisfying. It felt like my past grievances were slightly relieved, even though I wasn’t the one doing the scolding.

After a long lecture about the dignity of royalty, proper conduct, and the duties of a wife to her husband, the Queen, looking displeased, set down her teacup.

“As for that resilient man, how he survives every battlefield is a mystery. Every time he returns unscathed, it’s almost miraculous.”

She bit her lip as if regretting his survival, an action unfitting for someone who had just been preaching about decorum and etiquette.

‘Even if Floria belongs to Prince Eric, how can a future empress talk so lightly?’

I understood the Queen’s animosity towards the First Prince, considering the rivalry with her son and excluding Floria. But to speak so directly in a place where anyone might overhear was very reckless.

‘Floria thinks she’s just an innocent girl.’

I shook my head at the Queen’s naivety.

“The mere thought of his arrogant face returning makes my head throb.”

The Queen massaged her temples as she continued to speak ill of the First Prince and emphasized the need for Floria to not be intimidated by him before leaving.

Floria, bowing to the Queen’s departing figure, tossed the hem of her dress she had been gripping as soon as the Queen was out of sight. She then flopped onto the chair and ran her hand through her hair.

“Just a mouthy old woman.”

‘Wow.’

I was shocked by Floria’s true colors. Her scornful face was a far cry from the innocent look she had given the Queen earlier. She was like a completely different person.

“Always about her son, her son. I can’t stand her using her not-so-great son to show off.”

“Your Highness, it might be wise to keep your voice down. Someone might hear.”

“The Queen dismissed all the courtiers, didn’t she? And if anyone does hear, you can just erase their memory, Shanna.”

Floria seemed tense from the Queen’s constant nitpicking.

“As I’ve said before, there’s a limit to the amount of magic I can use. My power hasn’t fully returned since I used Reneeola’s heart as leverage. Please be mindful.”

“Alright.”

Floria waved her hand dismissively and propped her chin. Then, she lowered her voice further and asked,
“Did you say that ‘thing’ you mentioned before can break the limits of magic?”

“Yes, that’s correct.”

“Then there’s nothing you can’t do.”

“Yes. And there’s nothing Your Highness can’t do either.”

Floria’s eyes gleamed greedily at Shanna’s firm response.

“I’m looking forward to it. The first thing I’ll do on that day is stitch shut the mouth of that old fox. Her constant nagging every time we meet is driving me insane.”

“In the current situation where Prince Eric’s foundation is not yet solid, Duke Ebwood’s influence will be a great help, so please be patient a little longer.”

“I know. That’s why I’m tolerating her annoying voice.”

Floria sighed and leaned back, crossing her arms.

“Why does the First Prince have to win a battle now? Because of him, our national marriage is postponed.”

Floria, looking displeased, loudly set down her teacup and asked curiously.

“Is he really as fierce as the rumors say?”

“Those who have met him on the battlefield unanimously say so. He’s more terrifying than a ghost.”

“I wish he had died in the war. They say he’s a sword master, but if dozens attacked him, he wouldn’t be invincible, right?”

“It’s said that with one swing of his sword, at least ten fall.”

“If it weren’t for the war, I would have lured the First Prince… Prince Eric is too weak and foolish.”

“But that also makes him easier to manipulate.”

“That’s true.”

I leaned against the wall, chuckling at Floria. Imagining her harassing me with that face sent shivers down my spine.

“But what is ‘that thing’ they mentioned?”

From their conversation, it seemed like the biggest reason Shanna was cooperating with Floria. I didn’t recall reading about it in the original.

‘I should have read the side stories.’

Cold Male Lead Became My Clingy Husband (Female-Dominant)

Feng Bai Su transmigrated into a matriarchal novel, becoming the sister of the female protagonist and the Seventh Princess of the Feng Ling Kingdom.

After working herself to death in her previous life, finally reincarnating as a princess, she only wanted to be a lazy fish who could eat, sleep, and play.

Until she met the male protagonist from the book, Wei Jing Mo, and he took a liking to her!

Wei Jing Mo is the top young man in Feng Ling City, talented in both appearance and ability, from a prestigious family, with a cold and otherworldly appearance, a figure like the bright moon in the hearts of noble ladies. It was thought that only the most powerful and talented noble lady in Feng Ling City would be worthy of such a brilliant young man. Who knew that this young gentleman would secretly admire the infamous Seventh Princess?

Short scene 1:

Feng Bai Su looked at the young man crying like a pear blossom in the rain before her, and couldn’t help but doubt her life.

Wasn’t the male lead described as a cold and otherworldly figure in the book?

Then who was this poor little thing crying with swollen red eyes and tear-stained face?

Short scene 2:

Wei Jing Mo stared intently at Feng Bai Su who was about to go out, wanting to say, “Be careful on the road.”

Before he could speak, Feng Bai Su suddenly bent down and bit his cheek.

Her peach blossom eyes were full of disdain: “Tsk! You’re so clingy!”

Wei Jing Mo: “…”

A talented fox spirit female lead with a flirtatious appearance but actually abstinent VS A cold-looking but actually naive and clingy little jealous male lead
