In response to the sarcastic remark, Cahilern chuckled softly.

Relaxed in the warm bathwater, the weariness of the day melted away, and I pulled up the cozy blanket. Cahilern, who had been going to bed later than me as usual, seemed to have fallen asleep quietly tonight. Carrying me and traversing the forest must have been quite tiring for him.

Stretching my legs fully before going to bed, Cahilern turned his body toward me. Unconsciously, my gaze shifted towards him. I marveled at his well-sculpted face, devoid of any flaws.

But then, I quickly turned my head.

“Darn it, Sylvia shouldn’t say such things; it’s making me self-conscious.”
I kept noticing Cahilern’s breathing, and my head kept turning towards him. Eventually, I turned completely towards him.

And then, I began to thoroughly appreciate Cahilern. It was the first time he had fallen asleep before me, and it felt a bit strange.

“A handsome man looks good even when he’s sleeping.”

It would be nice if I could express it a bit more elegantly.

At that moment, Cahilern’s black hair flowed down his neck.

“It seems ticklish.”

As I reached out my hand, I cautiously checked Cahilern’s reaction to see if he was waking up.

His deeply closed eyes showed no sign of movement. I gently brushed his hair aside, and my fingers naturally swept over his neck.

Thinking it was surprisingly smooth, my wrist was caught, and I was turned over.

In an instant, trapped in Cahilern’s arms, I looked up at him, confused by the sudden turn of events.

“Why are you touching me?”

Perhaps it was due to the dim lighting, Cahilern’s violet eyes were darker than usual. He seemed unlike someone who had just been asleep; there was no trace of drowsiness, and even his voice was clear.

“Is he pretending to be asleep?”

The thought that he might know about all the actions I had just taken embarrassed me, and my face turned red. I tried to push him away, but my wrist was immediately grabbed, pinning me to the bed.

“People endure it, and you should help them.”

“Oh, no, I wasn’t intentionally touching you; your hair seemed itchy…”

Oh, it’s embarrassing. I couldn’t meet Cahilern’s eyes and averted my gaze. Cahilern lowered his face. His breath could be felt so clearly that even breathing became conscious.

“Sorry, I thought you were asleep.”

I tried to avoid the situation, but it seemed to provide an opportunity instead. Cahilern, lifting his lips, met my gaze as he spoke.

“You were staring at me so intensely that I couldn’t fall asleep at all.”

Cahilern’s large hand encircled my neck. His thumb caressing my ear and the fingers subtly digging into my nightgown clearly contained temptation.

Feeling his touch, my shoulders trembled involuntarily. It was urgent to calm Cahilern down.

“Just a moment. Please calm down and come down.”

However, Cahilern, pressing his lips against the palm of my hand as if he didn’t hear anything, looked down at me. I couldn’t help but be mesmerized by his gaze. My heart started pounding.

Even though today was the first night of our honeymoon, I hadn’t expected to be confronted with such a situation when we went to the Fairy Forest earlier. Therefore, Cahilern’s vivid purple eyes, filled with clear intent, didn’t feel real at all.

I bit my lip tightly. I liked Cahilern, but I couldn’t be sure if it was more than that.
Accepting him with such uncertain feelings made me hesitate. What if I wake up tomorrow morning and regret it?

Sensing my hesitation, Cahilern, who read my inner thoughts keenly, leaned his head even closer. It was a distance where our lips could touch at any moment if I let my guard down.

“Don’t think too deeply.”

Half persuaded by Cahilern’s convincing words, “What if you regret it tomorrow?” I somewhat succumbed. Despite his seemingly refined seduction, Cahilern’s breathing was rough, and his cheek was slightly flushed.

The anxious look in his eyes and the furrowed brow, as if holding back something, finally gave in.

I tilted my head slightly and met his lips.

The soundless, gentle kiss became the starting point.

Cahilern, who immediately enveloped my neck, pulled me in and deepened the kiss.

It was a kiss so hurried and profound that it couldn’t be compared to the ones before. In the chaotic exchange of breath and warmth, we were swept away without control.
