“Is this really the end?”
Flipping it over to check for more, the back of the note was blank. The message left by the vanished woman was remarkably succinct and straightforward.
“‘It was enjoyable.'”
Bemused, laughter kept escaping through his lips. It was Ihyeon’s first one-night stand, and he wasn’t sure if this was how things usually went, but one thing was certain – he felt rather displeased.
After all, waking him up to say goodbye, telling him to sleep more and leaving would have been odd too.
But being left alone in this hotel suite felt just as lousy.
It was as if he had been used and discarded.
Sitting on the bed, Ihyeon kept alternating his gaze between the ring and the note left by the woman.
Certainly, it wouldn’t have been welcome if she had clung to him, wanting to continue the relationship. However, leaving so cleanly without any attachment also didn’t sit well with him.
“I did serve her well, after all.”

The woman seemed quite inexperienced, perhaps her first one-night stand too. Actually, she had said it was her first time in such a relationship.
Naturally, the same was true for Ihyeon, so neither had to feel sorry.
But still, this seemed out of line.
“Shouldn’t she at least have said thank you?”
Was that strange to expect? Pondering this, Ihyeon picked up his phone.
Forgetting it was dawn, he made a call.
“Hey, it’s me.”
[Dash] Do you realize what time it is?“Five-thirty in the morning.”
[Dash] Sigh. Mr. Director, you know I wasn’t asking because I didn’t know the time.ads
Choi, his secretary, sounded quite annoyed. Ihyeon’s calls weren’t usually like this.
His friend and capable partner, Hyunjun, recently resigned due to being overwhelmed with work, leaving Ihyeon in a bind. Despite Ihyeon’s efforts to retain him, Hyunjun was adamant about his decision.
“Don’t contact me unless you find my replacement,” Hyunjun had warned.
Of course, Ihyeon wouldn’t remember such a warning.
[Dash] You’re not calling to say you found my replacement at this hour, right?“I have someone I want Choi to find.”
[Dash] I’m not a detective agency.“A woman disappeared.”
[Dash] What?Shocked by Ihyeon’s unusual statement, Hyunjun seemed to wake up fully.

“I met a woman last night…”
[Dash] And?“Woke up and she’s gone.”
[Dash] …A moment of silence.
Hyunjun cautiously asked, knowing it was unlikely.
[Dash] Did you have a one-night stand?“Yes.”
[Dash] …ads
Again, Hyunjun seemed lost for words at Ihyeon’s candid reply.
[Dash] So, the woman you spent the night with was gone when you woke up?“Exactly. That’s why I value Choi.”
[Dash] Listen carefully, Mr. Director.“Go on.”
Ihyeon anticipated some brilliant solution from his astute secretary.
[Dash] It’s best not to look for that woman.“Why?”
[Dash] Sigh. That’s the unspoken rule of one-night stands.Ihyeon stroked his eyebrow with his index finger, clearly displeased.

“I never made such a promise with her.”
[Dash] It’s not about making promises. It seems she wasn’t too satisfied with you.“What?”
Ihyeon’s face contorted fiercely.
“I don’t think that’s the case.”
Then he relaxed a bit.
[Dash] How can you be so sure?“I saw it.”
The face flushed with pleasure.
Not delving into details, Ihyeon cleared his throat.

“She was at the Che-to charity bazaar after-party.”
Slowly, he provided details about the woman he had lost.
“She was about as tall as my chest, had golden bob hair, and was pretty.”
It’s a bit much to say it was love at first sight, but Ihyeon felt something along those lines.
Keeping that to himself, he insisted on finding the woman.
[Dash] I’ll try, but there’s something more urgent.“What’s that?”
[Dash] Finding my replacement…“Please handle it quickly, Secretary Choi.”
Ihyeon cut off Hyunjun’s words and hung up. He slowly closed his eyes, recalling the moment he first saw her on the rooftop last night. When they bumped into each other, and she widened her eyes in surprise, his first thought was ‘beautiful.’
He had seen plenty of objectively beautiful people before, but she had a unique aura unlike conventional beauty.

Initially, he didn’t think much of it.
While talking with his group at a nearby table, he noticed blatant stares landing on his face. Assuming she was one of the many women trying to seduce him, Ihyeon turned away indifferently.
But it was the same woman he had bumped into earlier. Surprisingly, she wasn’t blatantly seducing him. When their eyes met, she deliberately looked away, pretending she hadn’t been looking at him.
What was that about?
He was curious.
A new kind of seduction tactic, maybe?
He found her interesting.
So deliberately, Ihyeon stared at her several times. She pretended not to notice but kept sneaking glances at him, and their eyes met a few more times.
Each time, she looked away, seemingly embarrassed.
Why be so embarrassed by just a few looks?

His curiosity piqued, he felt the need to find out more. It was the first time he had taken such an interest in someone.
My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband
This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.
The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.
They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.
In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.
When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.
She makes his life a living hell.
And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.
Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!
Intro
Dong Xia lost her memory.
Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”
Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.
…
The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.
She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.
Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.
No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!
Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂
*
Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.
The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.
In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.
The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.
And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.
Notes:
1. The female lead is white on the outside, black on the inside, and the queen of flattery; the male lead repeatedly tests the edge of darkness, a VIP guest at the crematorium.
2. Fantasy cultivation world setting.
