It was clearly Min Yeon Seo.

Je Hyeon barely managed to suppress the urge to immediately yank her off his lap.

At least he was somewhat relieved they were inside his car and that both of them still had their clothes properly on.

Je Hyeon pressed his long fingertips firmly against his temples and tried to calmly sort out his thoughts.

He’d let his guard down around Min Yeon Seo, whose cheeks had flushed pink from just a few glasses of wine.

He’d assumed she’d refuse more after a couple of drinks, but Min Yeon Seo turned out to be more of a heavy drinker than anyone he’d ever seen.

It was almost miraculous how that tiny body could hold so much alcohol.

Unlike her shy smile, her technique of neatly emptying her glass with slightly parted lips was anything but ordinary.

Moreover, she never drank alone.

She always insisted on taking turns—never leaving even a single drop of soju in a straight glass.

Still, Je Hyeon kept matching Min Yeon Seo’s pace solely because he wanted to hear it:

stories about Min Tae Hee—things he’d never known and couldn’t uncover through investigations.

By the time they’d finished two bottles of whiskey, Je Hyeon’s breath came hot and his mind started drifting in and out.

He paid the bill and managed to act perfectly fine while waiting for the designated driver to arrive.

At least, that’s how it seemed to him.
